3. Freelancing - web and WordPress development - want to start this professionally part time.

Who do you send the offer to? Do you have a client list already? Or are you using something like upwork?

I have a huge freelance listings website specific for my country of residence. I am looking forward to promote myself with google and local seo. I will probably post on forums and offer long term work. Current goal is to get as much money as possible for a single hour of work. So I don't accept anything if I estimate it won't make me a certain amount of money.

Marketing of this can go in any direction. All that matters is the number of people interested. I can go as far as ads on the bus, flyers, business cards, internet slides and even webinars if I feel confident enough to tell people a thing or two about software.

I think I may setup a newsletter in the future for WordPress developers and then sell something there. I may even sell the whole mailing list that way. The challenging part is to gather people data first.

Ideally I would be okay if I was able to double my income in 2 or 3 months. But I won't be mad if it doesn't happen. Money isn't everything.

Beyond money, the goal of working on my own software projects is a way to prove my skills are enough to deliver a working api, being able to complete a full stack app in a given period of time. Websites compared to apps are easier on the backend side of things but require a lot of css and html work, which is more like webmastering than developing.

Today I will create a portfolio based on the chisel framework for WordPress with twig templates. This will make it easy to work with advanced custom fields and keep the website architecture cleaner.

Almost made that website with Chisel working yesterday. But I failed cause it turned out the script won't run as expected.
Node.js is a hell of a nightmare in terms of versions and support for different systems. Some commands just failed to run and there is absolutely no info on the internet how to cope with that.
I will have to find a workaround that will let me successfuly launch the website.
I could go with something else, but I wanted to use specifically Chisel for WP due to architecture.

Meanwhile I figured out there is no point in keeping facebook on my phone and spamming friends with my ideas. I decided to setup a blog where I will do that.
Every word has its worth. Instead of rambling on messengers, I will setup newsletters and a blog for those who want to start their online journeys.
I have my own experience, so I'm sure there is something I can bring into the community. I'll be happy if I could help someone see the bigger picture and break out of the corporate paycheck to paycheck attitude.
I believe real life examples will be the driving force of this journey. Straight from the heart.

Went to sleep late and had trouble doing anything else than fixing encountered issues that day. It's not clear what exactly is wrong, but probably the system I use is not the best and just doesn't understand some commands. I found a workaround and will start development in 2 days cause I have to make peanut money yet.

I started to come up with ideas to up my income a little bit, do even more work over time, but executing this strategy will take time.

Registered a domain in the personal finances niche, so it will be a blog and a newsletter for those who have enough of cheap 9-5 offers.
It will be me and just my experience instead of rewriting crap ranking in google. Storytelling.

Still making peanut money. I started to reach out to some of the companies doing SEO and marketing in my country.
Looks like there is a high demand for copywriting services and one could easily build a business based on just that.
But anyone whos is in the industry knows that content for sales purposes is worth as much as the number of leads it helps to acquire.

Other than that, I left my portfolio and blog related projects for a while.
It turns out the website is not even a requirement if you write a nice message to a client on LinkedIn or some other platform.
They usually reply the next day and we go to the details of cooperation.
I figured out a way to identify a cold and a hot lead. That will make it easier to find clients who are interested in the service.

The digital product I am working on is going to be one that streamlines typical processes for people interested in completing CPA offers.
It will be fully ethical in terms of giving incentives and use highly attractive incentives. Low effort for the user and a nice reward back. With loyalty bonuses and partnership programs.
The goal is to generate a huge number of CPA leads and nurture the e-mail list for further profits.
I am aiming for a huge number of e-mail submit leads generated through conventional methods.
As I accumulate profits with organic and buzz marketing, I am going to boost it with paid ads, instagram, tik tok influencer marketing and e-mail blasts.

There are no promises in this like "get unlimited resources for 0" or something. This is going to be based on values like loyalty, fun and common effort yielding a specific incentive. It's low risk. There is going to be a ton of testimonials, influencer's recommendations and so on. The trick is to make it a little bit addictive. It will be highly engaging and will stop the user from whatever they're doing, but they will feel okay to do this again, cause the reward really will be in their hands.

As far as my research goes, this is allowed to use CPA offers if you provide the incentive for the user and document that. Policies will be prepared.

At this point I have found about 6 different types of personas I could market it to. Any number of segmented data will be useful for further campaigns.

So now I'm overanalyzing different businesses in the entertainment industry.
Thoughts like "does that even make sense, but something like that doesn't exist yet, so I am the first to try it", "this is real business model! it must be great!", "I have so many ideas one of them must be attractive for the user!" appear on daily basis. Sort of exciting and unknown at the same time. I am enjoying the journey.
And I still make peanuts. But learning new things in the web development while progressing with the digital product which is useful.
Making connections and setting up stuff is not a matter of clicks, but months of work.
So many responsibitilies I could easily become a workaholic, but I've already been through that stage and decide to slow down.

You really can come up with weird and really innovative ideas when you've spent so much time analyzing the world of e-commerce and software products.
Being in the business is the number one priority if you want to make money and be creative about your choices.

Now I'm thinking how I can add "gamification" to the software I make.

I just made my life too comfortable and enjoyable. I haven't felt such freedom in several years.
Need to get back to making peanuts.

I started assembling together some crazy texts inspired by https://marketingbullets.com/archive/. I also put together a piece inspired by Brian Dean
And maan, I love the first one. It's so inspiring, some story is inside of it, it makes you excited and sounds happy. At the same time it's clear to the reader what it is about.
The second one is just text and benefits. So it's easy to consume, but is it great for sales? I don't think so!

I would love to increase sales with copy. It's like the only reason to learn copywriting! And I've been doing that for way too long to not know how to sell stuff. So a ton of tests will be performed.

In fact this task was so enjoyable even writing software doesn't win. But I believe it's a great strategy to have the copywriting in my skillset if I want to promote the software properly.
Research is in my blood, so it's easier to solve any problem. And I most of the times have clue what I'm writing about, not trying to be an expert of everything.

Anyways, I haven't had the occasion to seriously monetize software other than CPA sites, so it might not seem as attractive cause it's much harder to make the first buck from selling software than writing copy.

Will approach ranking my portfolio. It's Eastern Europe, so you know. I think there will be days when I will just focus more on daily tasks and in-between put some creative work for the sake of my own business.

Registered an account as a freelancer on some freelance websites.
It's utter crap. Developers working for $5 an hour. Copywriters writing for $0.01 per word.
When I read their stuff I'M SHOCKED THIS SHIT IS ABLE TO PASS ANY TYPE OF VERIFICATION.
Their websites look like I made them 10 years ago when I was 14.

Competing with them doesn't make any sense. I managed to figure out how the get something out of it.
I will utilize this cheap workforce. Those platforms allow businesses to ask for test works and asking for descriptions of work.
So they can plan some work for me for free and give me more ideas lol. And they can give me an idea of sales letters.

I will also try to compete on a serious level. I will promote my websites via this platform cause they allow do-follow links and steal link-juice by posting random offers (they won't be accepted by anyone cause I want to be paid $20 per hour which is too much for anyone).

I was lifted from the ground by the godlike force. Managed to optimize my workflow so much I am making twice as much money as before.
So yeah, this journey is the most important thing for me since years.

I added some technology to my stack called "Livewire". It's supposed to simplify the things, but when I installed it I was so drained, I just took a free day and did pushups all day.

So the next thing is to make the app alive with Livewire.

Coding for 8 hours a day is not recommended. I would not do it for more than 3 - 4 hours a day if I was supposed to work in commerce / corporate setting.

LinkedIn on the other hand turned out to be a burden. My friends came there and hit me up. Wasted a lot of time talking to people.
Yeah, it turned out to be another facebook. I thought the level of discussion will be better, but it isn't!
BlackHatWorld is still at the top and nothing even comes close. But it's not mass social media.

Really, high C-level people and CEOs are arguing for some bs like what they think about education and so on.

So I won't use it unless I get some sales navigator for business needs.
