Impossible to create new IG accounts | Recent engagement drops

Usually I only read threads here but recently I'm getting so frustrated with IG that I needed to ask for some advice and others experiences with this.

So recently when I'm trying to make new IG accounts I get the CAPTCHA with the "suspicious activity" prompt (and phone verification) every single time no matter what I do.

I have experience in making myself look like a new user on a new device on pretty much any website so I know what I'm doing.
I already tried Residential Proxies, 4G proxies, changing my MAC address to get a fresh IP, I'm using a fresh browser instance every time so no cookies or any other connections etc. Tried literally every possible way, on a PC, Emulator, even a new clean Phone and every single time the same problem.
(Also used fresh new gmails for each attempt)

(And yes I know I can use a phone verification service but that's not the point, the point is that it shouldn't give me a suspicious activity prompt using those methods and even when I verify the number I get a prompt saying that they need to review the info and it will take 24h so it's just a pain to deal with)

Same methods worked without a problem in the past.

Do you guys have issues with account creation recently as well?

Also wanted to ask if any of you experienced a huge engagement drop recently, I noticed it around a week ago on my 18k page, When I had 10k followers I was easily getting 1k-1.5k likes per post, now I can barely break 1k or sometimes even 700 like barrier, stories and reels still do good tho.
I noticed that it's not only me, just by looking on other people accounts I noticed the exact same engagement drop pattern (even on big accounts)

What are your thoughts on this? Appreciate any advice.

Just a small advice - FB/IG does not like new users on new devices (yes, it's dumb). Yes, you can still create accounts this way (best with wifi over home network) but if you want better success rate then it is time to learn to fake a "used" device that FB/IG already knows about.

You can test this theory pretty easily - just use your main phone to create an account - it should work (unless you have exceeded the limit already).

Yeah, IG likes making changes like that - the thing is, they roll them back quite often too. So, you may be able to start making accounts again the regular way in a week or two.

As for making device "used" - browse a few sites that have FB tracking on - this should be enough on good proxies and popular phones. If not, then you need to add camera images to the phone and fake contacts list. If that is still not enough, prepare some fake conversations and "inject" them to the phone.

If the first step of just browsing a few sites does not work then manual setup for account creation becomes near impossible since the creation will be too slow. You'll need some intermediate coding skills to automate setup of a "used phone", at least.

Every account still gets this verification no matter what I try, I'm pretty sure even legit users are getting hurt from IG's ridiculous measures. I'm starting to seriously consider TikTok now...

I have no problems with custom emulator and custom apps for fingerprints deleting and using 4g proxies. I'm creating 400 accounts / day with 1 proxy

I tried web on clean browsers with no fingerprints, tried app on Bluestacks 5, Bluestacks 4 (rooted & changed imei, android ID, device model), LD Player and Android Studio AVD, Also tried on an IPhone.

Each attempt was on a clean browser or clean device with no connections to anything.
It just doesn't make sense at all, I was able to make accounts on all of those platforms just around a month ago.

Maybe they have changed something. I get that error when I try making the accounts with email, when I do with pva I got 0 problems

I finally was able to make an account when using PVA instead of Email in the sign up stage, so you're right, they most probably changed something recently. It's so dumb and illogical, they basically made it impossible to make accounts with emails, even HQ like gmail etc.

Makes no sense and will just annoy legit users, I hope this is only temporary tho.
Guess I will just have to invest in phone verifications for now.

Yes, it's annoying but at least it works like that, I've tried with yahoos and yes, it didn t worked as well. Only if you add it after

Legit (real) user must have phone number rather than email address these days. There is nothing to be surprised about.

Legit (real) user must have phone number rather than email address these days. There is nothing to be surprised about.

What I mean is that if an user on a freshly bought device tries to make an IG account with an email instead of a phone number first (which is what most people do) He will most likely get a "suspicious" activity prompt along with captcha and PVA followed by a 24h info verification.

The problem here is that a lot of people report that this 24h "verification" only leads to the account being deactivated and it's close to impossible to get it working after that happens, unless you send a selfie verification to the support team but people report they sometimes take weeks if not over a month to reply in a case like that.

So it would be a huge annoyance for a real user. Already seen some people on reddit getting mad over it.

It's something private, it's automated by me the whole thing
That's with one proxy, with 5 I can get easily to 2k but I don't need that many accounts )

Hey, stuck with same issue. As I know, Instagram accepting accounts creation from iPhone rather Android or even web. Yesterday I could create 10 accounts from my primary phone using outlook temporary mails, and 3 of them was made with phone verification, on one of them I've got 24h "verification", so we can count it as 9.
After this I can't create accounts anymore, I just get "some error happened" on Instagram side even if I use phone verification.
Also tried emulators (Genymotion), VPN and proxies and even different iphone device in my network, I could not create more accounts even after 8 hours delay.

I have private emails and instagram accounts generators, and it worked about month ago without phone verification, accounts lived about few days - two weeks. Now I can't do anything even manually.

Interesting - have you found a solution yet? I'm going with the same formula: devices + phone numbers + 4G mobile proxies, I haven't had any prompts for suspicious activity so far.
