Could Wearing Masks Be Taboo?

They stop your breath to reach others. So it prevents virus transmissions.

It’s actually a bit more complicated than that.

Since you can breathe with a mask on (albeit less efficiently) , the masks allows for oxygen particles to go through the fabric.

And the virus particles are actually smaller than oxygen particles.

So, the regular surgical masks don’t stop you spreading the virus, at all.

However, more high quality masks might. :)

My belief It's all population control. So many of our rights have been diminished.Freedom of speech being the biggest one (can't talk bad about the president). This whole mask thing dehumanizes us the ancient Egyptians used to do the same thing to their slaves. There's a lot more to it. I'm not sure what the end game is but there's something and play.

I know, I had 2 years of medical training. Drop spread viruses would though not reach as long as without any mask.

try one of these :D

Vizor Gas Mask Bong : Shiva

Really, don´t be smug about it, if anyone want to be an outsider about masks, don´t complain about it when people react.
Did you really just type that to me without 4 firewalls on? How dare you

So, why did you tell me to wear sunglasses then? Straight up.

Edit: Never mind, don´t bother to answer. I don´t really care.

Same as Ebola. Until there was a cure for stability, no one can get rid of pandemic for now.

I understand both sides, those who do not want to wear masks because they believe it has been proven that protection really does not exist, but I also understand the other side and people who want to wear a mask because they believe it can prevent further spread of any virus.

Personally, I wear it, my whole family wears it, here are my 2 cents...

The first thing, the Japanese, the Chinese, and other Asian countries, have masks decades before the Covid 19 virus, out of respect for other people once they feel ill.

"Japanese wear masks when feeling sick as a courtesy to stop any sneezes from landing on other people." [source voanews]

I wear it, but not ordinary masks, better ones.

I wear a mask out of respect for other people.

I think the talk about how the mask doesn't prevent the virus, although it may be true or it is true, I think it's just another reason in a series that people will use to justify themselves for not wearing masks.

I respect everyone's opinion, wear masks or not, one thing is a fact, if you wear it you have respect for others, that's what matters at the end [I'm not saying people without masks have 0 respect, there are people that simply can't wear a mask for different reasons] I believe it can help.

If it helps only 1%, those that can have masks on their face should have it on their face.

Wish you all the best!

No. No arrest. But there is psychological pressure, coercion and sometimes fines.
Interesting I thought police were too lazy to do arrests I heard some were meant to had done it I think In London.

Sounds like you live in a more-than-crazy part of some area. That doesn't happen over here. The worst that happened to me for not wearing a mask- which was only because the disposable/free one I got broke- was a bus driver asking me to wear a mask.
I said "no" and he threw a bit of a fit but ultimately had to let me on board. They can't enforce these rules.

You can also tell them you got the vaccine, now those are easily accessible.
I'm pretty sure I got COVID at one point with the fever/sickness/loss of my senses. But it's over. I would rather officially have COVID over a vaccine, and I would simply let me body beat it, or die, either way - immunity.

a normal person is someone who uses his brain,
go out naked next time and state this is "normal",

if you don't want to wear a mask, go to some empty place and remove it,
otherwise, you'll be disrespecting people, so if you don't care about the "covid" thing, respect people that do at least,
wearing a mask shouldn't be that much bothered after all

The only way out of this is immunity. At this point in lack of a better solution, that can be reached by vaccination or - to a certain point - by surviving the infection. The virus won't go anywhere on it's own. Until it stays to be a threat, restrictions will stay in place and get re-introduced over and over again, when newer and newer waves hit. Where i live the vaccination level is above 50%, so most of the restrictions were dropped already, some of the mask rules included.

No-one looks at you twice for not wearing a mask here, because it's deemed to be safe now to not wear it, at least out and about on the street. Whatever you're visioning, masks didn't became the norm. When there's no need for them anymore, people will leave them gladly.

There's really no point in arguing about whether masks work or not. They do. Period. The virus doesn't travel in the air on it's own, hence the size of it doesn't matter. The virus travels via droplets (which are obviously much bigger than the virus on its own) and most of that gets stuck inside the mask or won't travel as far as without mask, even if it's just a surgical mask. Less virus in the air, less chance to get infected. In case of an infection, lower viral load leads to a less serious course of the illness.

What you're doing is not just irresponsible towards others, but it's also counterproductive on every level. You won't be allowed to enter places (another freedom of yours gets taken away), you'll risk a fine and/or you'll get slapped around, if you insist on your "b-but mah freedom" viewpoint.
