Greetings,
I have an old channel with 3,6k subs from which 2k are real. The other 1,6 are motivated traffic. Some time ago the channel had like 5k subs, but people were motivated to subscribe, so they naturally went off.
I wasn't active for 4 years, during which the channel grew smaller in terms of subs. The best video on it is like 70+k views, I have 44 videos in total. It was monetized via some network a long time ago. Now it is not monetized.
Recently I've started uploading new videos. This is a personal channel and it's in Russian, so I'm not planning to receive a lot of cash from Adsense - I just want views and subs.
So now I've uploaded 4 vids in less than a month, they all good quality videos, but they get from 100+ to 300+ views in a week. Which is very low comparing to other gaming channels and the number of subs.
And I made a grave mistake with these new videos - posted them on sites like Reddit, so external traffic did a bad thing to video retention and CTR. Now it seems a bad thing to do and I was wrong to post the videos on social media.
Sorry for the long story, now is the question:
What do you think, should I start a new channel by just re-uploading my new videos (but perhaps zooming them a little to make the content unique) or should I try to resurrect the old channel? I feel sorry for the old subs that were with me for 6 years.
And if it is better to start a new channel - should I boost the initial views with in-stream ads of my video? Maybe buy 5-10k views to start with?
I believe that my main goal in teams of marketing is to get my videos recommended for the gaming audience along with popular vids or just on the main page. I don't see an option to compete in search traffic.
It helps me a ton if you share what you think.
