Affiliate programs - Am I thinking wrong?

So I have been here for years, lurking reading, and never taking any action, but now I want to start my affiliate website, well I kinnda already did. I bought a domain and hosting and paid for a year in advance.

I want to get accepted into amazon or newgeg or anybody that has a lot of products to earn of, now since my blog literally has no posts on it and no traffic I am confused as to how am I supposed to be accepted?

I know that I should provide value and I definitely will in my niche but if I can't get any sort of commission for it right away what's the point.

I might have started off wrong since I want to do reviews of certain products and then post my affiliate link to the product homepage.
That's literally what my entire blog will be about. If I get traffic to those posts without any sort of monetizing in place, is that not just wasted traffic since I am not able to get into any sort of affiliate programs right off the bat?

Any sort of insight would be very helpfull guys!

If you manage to bring traffic to your review site, then you will be able to promote some offers and start converting to make profits, as simple as that

The more quality traffic you have, the more offers you will be able to promote, because CPA networks will analyse your traffic and give you access to better and better offers!

You won't be accepted with an empty website. Why would you? The website is nonexistent at the moment. You won't have any traffic so nobody will click on your future affiliate links. Start writing on your blog. Go for a few informational articles, to give it at least the impression of a blog that doesn't just want to push products to people. Then, once you have a few articles, apply for the networks and you will get accepted.

Definitetly if you write articles which address the client's problem then there's almost 80% chance they will take action, buy stuffs and so on

Everyone can register on Amazon, but you would need to bring in at least one sale within the first 180 days. If you're unable to do so, your account will be closed.

You can either ask anyone of your friends to make a purchase, promote your articles via social media to get the first sale or do some paid advertising. Either way, make sure you get the first sale.

Also, which ever program you end up with, do make sure to follow their rules. You don't want to get banned from their program once you're making decent money and have unpaid amounts of money on your account (happened to me).
