Assuming you have your income covered from your job or however you've been paying for things up until this point, you have a whole $17k for your business.

There's a whole range of service based businesses you can start with $17k. It's more than enough to reach profitability with advertising.

Starting with $1k-$2k is hard, but $17k is a good chunk.

You can run a ton of facebook ads with that. More than enough to reach profitability.

You'd just need to identify something you can offfer and spend 6 months to a year studying up on it and becoming an expert, then start.

Alternatively you can use other staff, but that's harder and requires more of a business mindset which not everyone has. But anyone can spend a year studying something to learn enough to be of value as a consultant. The problem is people who don't know shit and try to sell services. If you spent a year studying copywriting, email marketing and tracking you could *easily* run a business offering that to businesses. Even easier if you specalize in 1 type of business. $17k is enough to get you up to $10k/mo as a consultant once you've got the skillset. Most people are in a hurry though and won't spend a year training. Patience is everything.
