Hey guys,

I have a question regarding a surrounding text around backlinks (both internal and external links).
Let's imagine I try to rank for 'Wеb Dеsign Аgencу' and I need to choose a text that will surround my backlink from '5 wеb dеsign tips' article. Here are two examples of surrounding texts:

Example 1:
Having responsive wеb dеsign is crucial for any website these days.

vs

Example 2:
Having responsive wеb dеsign is crucial for any website these days, and to do that, you need to hire the best wеb dеsign agency.

Which backlink provides more 'SEO juice' and why? Or they are equal?

P.S. don't ask to put the link on 'wеb dеsign agency'. Let's imagine it is not possible for over-optimization reasons.

never tested this, but I'd say it makes no difference. If the backlink is on a page relevant to the topic of your anchor text you'll get the link juice anyway. Otherwise, I don't think it matters whether the sentence is long or short

I'd say the second one gives you more juice

Thanks for the answer. In Example 2 I'm curious about the part of the sentence that mentions 'agеncy'. Does it make any difference for google? I think it does, because otherwise how Google will understand that my link is about 'agеncy' and not about 'responsive wеb dеsign'. Please let me know.

like I said, I never tested it so I don't know. But there's only one way to find out: create 2 similar backlinks with the 2 different scenarios and see which one is better :)
