What do you guys thing of free web proxy providers for example the ones inside a web browser etc - obviously it is to be assumed that paid proxies should probably be better and not get banned as much, but if you want to have multiple tabs open at the same time to for example stream songs on Spotify as a bot and also in order not the completely break the bank with residential proxies in the high quantities needed and shouldn't it work as long as you change the accounts and the ip:s quite often to still simulate real people?

Thankful for response!

If you can scrape the proxies, I can assure you there are security companies doing the same thing and selling blacklists to companies as big as Spotify. You might get some success here and there, but time will be your biggest expense. I learned this early on using public proxies to scrape search engines. It sucks running your computer for an entire day just to see the results that you could've gotten in an hour with a throttled down scrape on 100 private proxies.

I know playing songs is a different need than scraping, but I'm not sure the results would be much different.Yes, you'll likely spend a small fortune on proxies, but how much is your time worth? Charge enough to cover your costs and make a good profit. Don't waste time on penny-pinching clients that want to keep you in the gutter.

Residential proxies.. make sure they are not shared proxies..

4G mobile proxies are really efficient for botting tbh. These free web proxies you're speaking of aren't nearly as good as paid ones and you could easily get banned. If you want a real cell phone experience, make sure you get non-rotating IPs (they'll save you some money as well) and try to check if the provider is using real cell phones as hardware (you wouldn't want hardware signatures changing, they can get you blocked). Whether your wallet will bleed depends on how many accounts you're going to run and what profit you'll gain from that amount of growth. If you earn in thousands, the investment is worth it.

Do you have any providers you would recommend?

For your safety use only premium proxies.
Spotify is mad after banning artists that do mass-botting.

Why artists are doing mass-botting?

Same reason people buy links. They want to rank higher in the algorithm. When you play in Google's sandbox, you buy links, when you play in Spotify's sandbox, you buy plays.

Free proxies on Spotify is a sure way to get your accounts banned fast. Use dedicated residential proxies or 4G proxies. Either way they must be static so only you have access to them. I have several clients doing just this with my static residential proxies.

i’m really new to this and trying to understand the whole residential proxy thing. why are you using a proxy? is this so you can log into multiple accounts on your personal machine and make it look like you’re not streaming from your machine?

i thought about this and had an idea of just spinning up a bunch of digital ocean droplets to just stream spotify and youtube releases for me all day.

is the proxy thing more efficient?

yeh i think we said that already

free proxies are useless actually
plus you can easily get banned
True, 1st of all they are usually "slow" which is bad for streaming if you are trying to get as many streams as you can get + overused IPs probably flagged already :/

question here so as not to create another thread on a similar topic.

As an aside: if you use RDP of VPS are you able to avoid the use of proxies altogether? I would like to avoid using my local machine and one vps is about the same as one residential proxy and im happy to spend the money to keep my farm secure.

Why would using a RDP/VPS help you avoid using proxies? the whole point of using proxies is to avoid a lot of streams just coming from 1 IP and avoid account locks if you are doing premium streams.
