It's good. For domestic payments we have UPI which is the best Payment System in the world and it can be integrated with anything. Even Google Pay In India uses UPI.
Paypal denied to integrate UPI and got lost.

PayPal does that often. In many cases they've finished verfication after 2-3 weeks. Make sure your PAN info is correct e.g your account name is same as on PAN. Sometimes people use name written on Passport/GST Certificate but name has minor variation on PAN card and that causes problem.The chances are your name has variation on all legal documents - Bank statement, PAN and GST etc.
Their support has been always a disaster. You may want to tweet instead of calling them to expedite the process.
They haven't packed up. They shutdown domestic payments only as their market share in domestic payment was <0.1%
Cross border transactions are operational as usual and they have in fact expanded their operations in credit and finance to work with MSMEs by partnering with FlexiLoans
Paypal has always been disaster when it comes to support in all countries. Just look around on BHW only to see hundreds of complaints.
That's RBI policy not governments however the government has put some regulations through various fiscal legislations. FYI : This policy is same across many major Asian countries including Malaysia, UAE(Dubai), and even Singapore(the best country for running a business). The reason is mainly because of stopping money laundering.
And YES UPI system is developed by Government of India through NPCI(National Payments Corporation of India)

If paypal has been issued warning or forced by GOI it is the best thing they did with the gaypal. Government should make laws easier to accept international payment. I am fucked up by paypal and GOI norms.
