Thread about banned members

I would love to have a thread about why the members are banned, since I think not everyone are banned from being shitlisted. I see more often older accounts, people with XXXX posts, etc getting banned.

Don't need an entire sub-forum, just maybe one thread where only the mods can post some word why he or she was banned etc

That is correct; we are now adding the reason for the ban as the title so as to be transparent.

Most of the banned members will have the reason right below their usernames.

Also, you can expect not to see this under every banned member, because X reason (not really important which one)

That's a good idea, to have not a thread, but a list, where you can see all banned members, or at least starting from any date.

Adding any additional words would be a mess and lost time for mods who need to moderate the forum, and stay fresh.

So this is a big NO. The best solution is just a bhw/page with automated script that adds every new banned member on top of the banned members list.

Me think the talk about banned members and the reasons for their ban is becoming too much lately.
Are we gonna appeal to the Supreme court for the ban to be resinded?

OP has a very good idea. This type of thread will work as a deterrent to current members, what not to do to survive at BHW.

Personally, I don't think the idea is good because we would just add more jobs for Moderators.

We’ll have an idea of why someone is banned when we check their profile, that’s quite enough.

To waste time and write the reasons for everyone... It's a bit too much for me.

I have never commented when someone gets banned because there is a reason behind everything, and it is not up to me to judge, it is not our business to know everything.

I trust BHW decisions, moderators, everyone else in the house, and all employees, everyone gets what they deserve in the end.

Let's go with DD's request that us Mods (and the Admins should they do that banning) share why a member is banned in their title and push forward as Internet Marketers.

I know the Dude pretty well and his thinking is what is best for the people before what is best for the forum.

I would say that an automated ban list would be nice in fact,
but it's not really necessary as mods clarify the reason within the user name now

I don't think this can be that hard to do,
there are a couple of addons for Xenforo that can do that, an example:
