eBay very much frowns upon digital product sellers. It may work but you will go through a lot of accounts and need to have a lot of defects removed for various reasons. IMO it's not worth the trouble and you're better off doing something like dropshipping even though that's still frowned upon because it's a little less risky at least.

I think they can try it both ways. With reseller and with a lump package of products to purchase and then sell out.
But where do you even go looking for a package of products to get ?
I mean they just want to start so they cant put a lot of funds stuck just in "digital inventory" - doing it as a reseller can help grow and se what type of products get clients interest and which don't. And then probably make sense to purchase the ones that have more interest.

Check to see if similar digital products you want to sell on ebay are indeed selling well there. Be sure to notice the dates of when the last such item was sold and what price it sold at.
You may discover that they are not selling that well, and that you would be better off trying to sell your digital products elsewhere. Ebay has made it so it is not easy to sell digital products.
You can't have any external links to websites outside of ebay. The only exception to this is if you have a link in the product description to a video on YouTube, Vimeo, or other such websites.
