I wonder if there will be any shareholder perks such as reduced fees etc.?

Good question, I haven't seen any, but it will be interesting to see the price tomorrow.

No, seriously, never. I'd rather sell off all of my shit and donate the money away than spend a single cent on COIN. Coinbase is shit and bears will chew it up, just as usually, just as every fucking time. Best of luck hopping into the train of illusion that was strategically created (went public) at this specific time due to some major incoming events. A little tip, when you get information from your favorite, major and paid market source, make sure to do the opposite to whatever they say, most of the time.

It plunged to 294, so I don't know how great it will be. I bought a small amount (11) but let's see what will happen.

Coinbase will eventually be the victim of its own success.
They are the leading on-ramp for crypto, which is helping it become more mainstream.

But as it becomes more mainstream, more competition will emerge (imagine buying $BTC or $ETH directly from you major broker Fidelity, TDA, etc) which will drive down transaction fees for CB.

They will definitely need to develop a more diverse revenue stream in order to survive as a publicly held company. You can play in the crypto sandbox all you like, but if you dont deliver earnings quarter in, quarter out your shares will be punished.

Employees took their gifted shares and sold as soon as the market opened (since there was no lockup with the direct listing) and probably purchased some crypto with the proceeds.

Well, it keeps dropping, so it will eat a huge loss, but it is what it is. Those who think it will go to 600 plus will not happen with all the competition, and I don't mind losing as you learn from what you did wrong. I hope others were luckier than me.
