Hi everyone,

I have been spending the past 2 months researching the adult industry and I have finally decided to get started.

I have done the following things at this time:
- Found a specific Niche.
- Done Keyword research.
- Found and purchased an awesome domain.
- Found a bit of content to add to the site.

I do have a little experience with running a tube site, most of my traffic from then came from reuploading to other sites with watermarked videos. But since Pornhub and the rest of their network removed all unverified content, that site died and I stopped playing with it.

Now I will attempt to use SEO instead to get traffic for the longterm.
And for short term traffic, ill use Twitter and Reddit.

The only thing I need to figure out now, is the following...
I want to self host my content, as I experienced a lot of my content from my old site would be removed from time to time.

That would leave me with a dead page with no video, and users leaving the site.
Self hosting would remove that issue, but it would also create a new one.
As far as I can tell, its a better idea to embed my content to my wordpress page, than to upload it directly to the wordpress CMS and play the video from there.

But, I am a cheap fuck who isnt sure how big a server I need for content and if I can host the website itself on the server as well.

I am aware of DMCA and such, so I need a server from EU or some other place that doesnt whine about DMCA.

Anyone able to recommend a good host?

Will keep ya updated!

What kind of seo you will applying on your site and that too longterm

Good luck

I will use Yoast SEO plugin and make sure that all descripitions, meta descriptions and such is written with the correct keywords and text.

The same goes for the content itself.
I plan to write a fair bit of content on the site itself on some specific posts. And then I will also have a library of videos like any other tube site where users can click around and find whatever they want.

What theme you using?

I havent decided yet.
I do have a license for WPscript and such, but I am thinking of not using them and instead using a standard blogger theme, and them modify it to fit my niche. I think it will be better for SEO in the long run.

Hi!

Glad to see others jumping on this bandwagon.

Certainly not an expert here, but for now I am fine with hosting the videos and the website on the same server which was advertised as offshore, ignoring DMCAs.

From my understanding, when a hosting ignores DMCAs, it only means they won't shut down your site when they receive complaints. They may or may not forward you these notices. This does not make you invincible. Your hosting still has to work with the authorities, and when there's tons of money and a good lawyer involved, they will go after you. We are talking about porn, and stolen content is literally everywhere - this seems to be generally accepted, so the chances of legal actions happening are very, very small.

To be on the safe side, I have a contact email address up, and I am willing to comply when people are angry. I also have a disclaimer that my content is user submitted, and "we" take DMCA inquiries very seriously.

Reddit and Twitter are good for now, but you don't post for a day and your whole traffic is gone. SEO all the way. Use Linkspun to make A-B-C backlink trades to increase your ranking, and look for other good free or paid backlinking opportunities. Quality over quantity!

Good luck!

Thank you!
I really appreciate the reply.

I hope to get started on the site itself this week.
Its just the hosting that I am lacking.

But yeah.. I hope to find a server for about 20$ a month that can handle the website and host the content as well.

I just need to figure out how to embed the content to my own site.
So thats my biggest struggle right now.

BTW I think others are using BunnyCDN. You can upload the videos there and link them from your site. It's pretty cheap and takes a big load off your server.

I think you just saved my ass and found a solution to my problem.
I think im gonna go with BunnyCDN. If they have a referral program, feel free to send me an email with an invite code or something :)

Do they have any DMCA stuff I should be aware of?
I want to be sure I dont suddenly lose my library of content if they feel like deleting my videos.

I recommend searching this forum with the terms "BunnyCDN DMCA". I checked a few threads, looks like you are safe to use it, but maybe you want to explore this topic more thoroughly.

No matter what you end using, always have a local backup of all your videos and database. This is very important.

Thanks, but I am not affiliated with BunnyCDN or using them... yet. ^^

Thanks for mentioning BunnyCDN, need to check this one out, the problem with CloudFlare's CDN is that they will block you out if you start eating too much traffic with streaming your videos.

Interesting and I'll be following.

hamukione, what are your thoughts on wpscript? why aren't you inclined to use it although having the license, which products do you own from them by the way? is it just theme with mass grabber?

Hi @hamukione, any luck setting up your site? Looking forward to your progress. ;)

I have progressed a bit, and found some good content.

But I am having trouble with the design of the site.
I am worried that I need to look for a WP developer that is able to build me something I can use.

I am trying to setup a "wall" that contains videos.
Like a pinterest wall, but for Wordpress. Where the video can be played, without having to open it in is own page.
I havent found a theme or plugin that allows me to make this yet, and it really sucks :(

i have an doubt form the porn site the we generate traffic means spam count will increase or not .

An update on the project.

It took a while to find a developer I think is fit for the job.
But I am spending some money on getting a plugin created for my site.

Its a special feature which I havent really seen anywhere before.

So I hope to have a unique design and content "type" which will keep regulars pleased ;)

Other then that, I have chosen to go with a storage VPS with 50GB SSD, it will be a good starting point, as I am not going to blast the site with tonnes of videos.
If I get a good response after launch, then im gonna upgrade it as I go.

Found an awesome host which will do me well price/performance-wise.

One the plugin is done, then I can start building up the site with content over a week.
Then push it on Reddit and Twitter, while SEO does it thing with Google.

I have access to about 2TB of content that I need to filter through and label, and get ready for upload.
Really looking forward to launching this.

But profit is going to take a while from what I read from other site creators on here.
Been reading https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/journey-to-1-million-visits-per-month-adult-tube.1124766/ @wirestyle

Worth a read!

Sounds very promising!

Indeed, ranking is slow, and there are no shortcuts to backlink building.

- Profile competitors. Where do they get their backlinks? Snatch some free ones and place your keywords in the anchor text.

- Maybe go for a few paid ones, but always check the domain for great stats before buying.

- Engage with other webmasters in A-B-C link trades, you can use Linkspun for this, or just reach out and connect with webmasters.

- Avoid "too good to be true" backlink packages. Most of them are.

Don't get discouraged, it can really take a while, sandbox and ranking. But I think you already know all this from wirestyle's thread. ;)

Backlink building is going to be my biggest troublemaker.

But I got access to a nice SEO tool and I already have some competitors on a list to check upon.

Regarding SEO, how much do you actually write for each video to make it rank? I dabbled a little with it last time I worked on a tube site. But I never learned the specific details regarding it.

Do I need to write a 500+ word article to each video with keywords in, or is it just title and short description with the right keywords in.

Just an idea.

Pick 10 videos you think are top tier, and write long, detailed descriptions (200-300 words).

30 videos with 80-100 words.

60 videos with 120-160 characters.

And for the rest, just make sure the title is unique and you have tags and a category.

Ensure your experiment pages are indexed by Google. You can submit pages manually via the Search Console. Wait a week or two for the results.

In the meantime - as always - check what others are doing. What I usually see is what I just described, but maybe you find a better strategy.

I hate writing descriptions, so I am generating around 100 words for each video based on the tags, but ranking is either too slow, or my text is shit. No good results so far.

Its been a bit... Time for another update.

The developer finally finished my plugin, and it is working perfectly!

One issue that I forgot to think about is watermarking my content.
I found a solution for images, but for webms and mp4s, I need a way of adding my watermark in bulk.
As its going to become a pain in the ass to do it one by one for all my content.

I know nothing about coding, but I have heard that its possible to make some form of Python script that could do it.

So, if anyone knows about some form of software or a website that can do the job, please let me know :P
