Very interating case, I’m following.
Regarding monetization, I have no clue. But what I noticed with Adsence is when I tried to apply for monetization for 2 sites from a new account I was rejected maube 10 times and I left it. After few months I bought a website on flippa which has been monetized via adsence for few years. After taking over the ownership I immediatelly applied for monetization on that site from the same fresh account and Adsence accepted me. Then, after couple of weeks I remembered about the other two rejected sites which were left untouched during the whole time. And guess what, I cannot remember now if it was in 24 hrs or more, but those two sites were approved very quick. I was really surprised.
So maybe he added some trusted account to your channel and claimed monetization that way.
Anyway, this is just a thought.

As for stealing your account - someone’s got a serious hussle going. Social engineering plus some malware/hacking shit, seems way beyong just black hat.

As I mentioned that we applied for monetization in Oct 2020. The absence account is the same as you can see.

We reached to google through social media and asked for help. They asked several questions and we followed up on everything and in a week, google disabled the account and gave it to us.

Always protect your account with 2 step factor authentication. Use the google authenticator app and backup codes incase you lose access to the app.

Just try to reach a real person of the support team. They are very helpful. I made a tweet asking for help and they really understood my problem. You can also use any other social media.

Finally, I have figured out how the hijacker did all this.

You probably know what a YouTube CMS is. I have attached a screenshot of its dashboard The trick here is that if any channel is in the 'Allowlist' then there is no copyright claim for the content owned by that CMS. The CMS can add a YouTube channel in Allowlist simply by adding the Channel URL.

A CMS does deal with other CMS to use each other's content and share revenue. Basically, this is what was happening in my case.

Here is the answer to all the questions we had:

1. How did the hijacker managed to do monetize my channel in less than 24 hours?
The moment the hijacker had my channel, he added the channel in the allowlist. Now, the channel had all the advantages of a CMS. That's how a channel full of copyright content can be monetized.

2. How the hijacker sharing revenue?
With all the above-mentioned things we can basically understand how the hijacker was sharing the revenue of some popular publishers. He had an agreement with other CMS and he was sharing revenue not only with my channel but every channel he had in the allowlist.

The moment we recovered the channel, hijacker removed the channel from allowlist. We got 3 copyright strikes but YouTube fixed it because the channel was hijacked.
The channel is normal as usual and monetized.

Monetized? So, can you login to your adsense acct? As far as I know, to get monetized, even with utube CMS, you need to have an approved adsense acct first. Correct me if Im wrong.

Yes, the channel is monetized since 13 Jan 2021. We verified our absence after monetization. Even we have received our first payment.
