using blockchain but it's empty right now lol
I have a ledger nano S for all my crypto needs. It is a must for those who want both ease of use and high security
U use Exodus, it's beginner-friendly and very reliableHello everyone, Hope everyone is doing great
So since Btc is on the rise and i was one of the lucky ones to jump on it long time ago ( even if i don't think crypto is considered as an investmen) . For me ,i use an offline wallet where i hold the big amount and blockchain i use it to buy something if needed.
So , my question to you , what wallet are you using? is it offline or just the online ones?
Note for the newbies: If you have a serious amount of btc ( 2btc+) keep them in an offline wallet and never keep them in an exchange.
What happens if this device fails?
I've memorized the seed words. If the device is lost, I can just buy another one and input my seed code to get access to all of my wallets again.
What if 2 people have the same seed words?I've memorized the seed words. If the device is lost, I can just buy another one and input my seed code to get access to all of my wallets again.
That makes sense. But that being the case, the hardware device is not actually needed, and your data is still stored online somewhere then (So that the hardware device is not actually a requirement to access your Bitcoins) as such, does that not make it much the same as using an online wallet (Which are also protected by MFA and seed codes)?
I'm not trying to be pedantic here, but I just feel like a hardware wallet isn't really secure (or a viable alternative to an online wallet) unless your bitcoins are entirely reliant on that hardware device and if that were the case, my original point is that its very risky. So in summary I don't see a major benefit to hardware vs online wallets.
