Oh boy! Bitcoin at $55k!

If you're afraid this is the top, you can still buy in the next bear market.

I don't see it going down anytime soon, not after Elon Musk change his twitter profile pic with what you call it ? Sailormoon x Bitcoin ?

Any predictions on when the correction hits?

End of Q1?

There is a brewing severe liquidity crises, as fellas are moving their bitcoins away from exchanges to safer locations. So basically, bitcoin is getting much harder to buy and the institutional buyers are still flexing their muscles to buy - yet there is not enough to sell to them.

What does that mean? Price will keep going up with small corrections because everyone is trying to buy on a dip.

$200k to $300k by year end is seriously fair value now.

A whale institutional buyer caused the jump.

Thanks for sharing that article it looks interesting I am reading it now.

It puts a question in my mind - all of these big investors putting money into Bitcoin, of course, that will drive the price up. But these investors are obviously in it to make money (Which means selling at some point) and I am sure anyone investing that type of money has a pre-defined strategy in place; so it begs the question when are they looking to sell and are they in BTC for the short, medium or long term?

Also, your valuation for the end of the year - $200k to $300k - I think (and hope) that is entirely possible.

i think btc will drop again to 9k after a while but now it's time to sell a little btc and wait to see what will happen on the middle of the year

YES, I also believe that bitcoin will continue to grow up. By the end of the year, I think it will be about $70-80K :alien:

I think it will continue to rise with new ATHs, but then there will be a sudden and unexpected huge correction which will trigger panic sells and crushed altcoins.

I am planning to cash out 50% of my all portfolio before March.

It's almost 60K right now. Seems like $70-80K is just a few weeks away, if not sooner, even with a correction. It's extremely bullish.

Too bad, sold all my 112 BTC last few years.
Also sold 3 of my BTC few weeks ago at $18k and $40k :/

Nothing wrong with that. There's no way you could have known. It only looks wrong in retrospect. But you can get back in any time you want, this train is not stopping soon.

70% of energy used is by renewable energy, so this point about energy consumption is not valid :)
huh? how it makes the point of energy consumption invalid?
Because some part of is with renewable energy it makes energy consumption somehow 0 ???
Your post is invalid dude

My point was that bitcoin is not sustainable in long term. It's value storage at best, but not for everyday use.

High transaction fees, long transaction period, high energy consumption, becoming less decentralized...
One Bitcoin transaction is equal to 500 000 VISA transactions.
Bitcoin has many flaws.
Bitcoin was more of a proof of concept and it has proven itself.

There are much better crypto solutions out there, don't put all eggs in one basket

maybe you sould study a bit more, while i agree on don't put all eggs in one basket. Keep in mind that the more baskets you have, the less chance to make millions you have.

Search for Lighting Network, it will solve all your problems of costs and time.
About energy i don't understand the problem, IF exists..
Mastercard integrating Bitcoin btw, while paypal and all others also did it.. just fyi.

Bitcoin is not a currency, it's more like a stuff that will not let you lose your money value.. because you know, fiat money are pretty useless right now, and every day worth less. It's more like a funny joke if you have your 10%+ net worth in fiat money.
