Oh boy! Bitcoin at $55k!

@Brickbat1

If you were a total noob to Bitcoin (like me) would invest 10k in it now?

Only if its not borrowed money. I still belong to the traditional school of thought of not using money you cant afford to loose. That said, chances of loosing substantial amount of your money (assuming you do not leverage) is is slim.

I would say wait for a retracement. Some will take profit and there should be a retracement of say 3-4k at least. . However, the market is not rational now, It can actually keep going because the liquidity crises is real. So do what is called cost averaging. It dips say 1or 2k , buy say 3k worth. It dips again 2k , buy again...and so on.

Everyone is waiting to buy on the dip so the train might leave you if you stay completely out waiting for a substantial dip.

*Disclaimer: not financial advice. Trade/buy at your own risk.

There is never a good time in this market now, buying on a dip is just the only way now..
Exactly, you can never tell. A seller locked my coins on paxful for the past six days for his own profitable reasons and just released my btc after dispute today. I still left a positive feedback for him because the price of btc went up since that time that he locked my coins. I know he would have expected a negative feedback. :)

Some analysts predict it will hit $400,000

Since it has a hard limit, it's easy to see why some people will consider it as an alternative to paper/fiat money

Have my fair share of bitcoins, but don't see it as long investment.
Sucks that because of mining, it is very hard to get new nvidia graphics cards :S
+ energy consumption is so high that, if it gets mainstream when everyone uses it every day - it will be serious hazard to the planet.
Bitcoin cash or nano might be the way

I'm waiting to buy more on the dip. I've got my alerts set up for the price.

there is also that thought that the entire market is changed as we know it and fundamentals are in fact also changed because of the changed world we live in now.

just a thought for food and food for thought to thought about when i think :)

1 Bitcoin equals
56,182.20 United States Dollar

70% of energy used is by renewable energy, so this point about energy consumption is not valid :)

The clear trend is obvious upswing. But as usual like the most of the time. Missed chance. :weep::weep:
