Hi All,

Having one doubt, not sure what to do.

I was checking my GSC backlinks report. From there i found one website based on our niche and they copied whole content from our website, even they didnt change the link also :D . On my website i have inter link one to other page, they kept same content and same anchor link on there page.

Please suggest me what to do. Shall i disavow that link or what to do.

After doing any changes will it affect my website ( i mean my ranking and traffic should not go down )?

Thanks!

Hello

This happens alot of times. So first of all relax and take a breath. Good things is that your content was already indexed and then they copied afterwards.

There is a tool in Google search console called "Coyrights removal" or you can find it with google searching as "dcma google search console"

You can put a DCMA complaint by doing this and a heavy handed action will be taken against those content poachers.

I hope that solves the issue for you.

Thanks

First you need to go google webmaster on twitter and say "f%ck you! for allowing that copy content is OK" part as a news to the world. and also remember to add f%ck you John Mueller part to that.

Yes, that old man John Mueller in google said that coping other sites is OK. lol. as a result of that content thief's are everywhere now.

It's probably automated and the owners don't really even if you reported them.

I would just ignore them

If you're content already indexed in google, so this would not affect your work.

You should keep it as it is. Good thing that your content was indexed first.

I was thinking the same but the things is they copied anchor link too. So indirectly i am getting link to from that site.
Better i should disavow or complain to GSC >??

I wouldn't worry about it. You had the content indexed first (right?), so you're the "owner" of the site/content/everything else.

It happened to me too, a competitor tried to outrank me by copying my site completely, lolmao. Good luck with that.

Yes, My content indexed first they didnt copy just one page.. i guess two or three pages and not one competitor. Two or three may be and one copied my content with internal linking also. Means they didnt even change the internal linking so indirectly i am getting links for that site so i was thinking to disavow those domains who copied my content or raise complain ?
but i just want to best solution so that nothing should happen to my site thats all.

I (personally) would just ignore it. I never disavow any links (even spammy porn links from moron competitors) without any issues. Google is pretty good at ignoring such links.

Their site is probably just automated bot crap and won't rank anywhere. Maybe they are getting traffic some other way.

Either way, I'd just leave it and keep going.

Yes this i checked ... those sites are not ranking in SERP till now.
And what about getting links from those sites whose DA<spam score ? MOZ
Whats your comment on this ?

They are idiots and they are not going anywhere with such a thing. I happen to have people copying the whole site and they claim they are a company like the ones I have! Idiots! They spend time growing their own ideas and businesses not copying other successful businesses!

I wouldn't care at all. Like I said before, I've had competitors blasting my sites with thousands of porn and gambling links and nothing happened (sometimes I even got a boost in rankings, lol thx). I'm not too paranoid about some spammy links, it's just a part of a diverse backlink portfolio IMO. Even if it's blatant spam, Google can tell them apart (in my experience at least).

It might be an issue if the only backlinks you have is from those sites and nothing else, but even then I wouldn't worry. I see sites that scrape my site and give me a backlink all the time, I just ignore them. I don't use Google Search Console/disavow tool at all on any of my sites, and they rank just fine.

TLDR: Don't worry, keep it up.

One of my articles disappeared from the SERPs when it was neg-SEO-ed with spammy adult links. I had these links disavowed (they showed up in my GSC) and now it's back.
I wouldn't wait for G to ignore them.

That's surprising, never happened to me on multiple sites. Let me guess, you had Google Search Console and/or Analytics connected to the site, right?

I have quite a lot of sites with heavy BH SEO, and I've never had a penatly. But I don't connect Google services to my sites, lolmao.

I had them both connected. How does it change things?

ok but mine its not spammy links, they are also same niche its just that they are new to this industry.

This is a typical foil hat moment, but I definitely believe there's a correlation between having Google services (Search Console/Analytics) and penalization.

Don't connect Google to your site if you're doing SEO (which is literally gaming Google SERPs).

It's like inviting FBI to your house when you cook crack cocaine in your kitchen, it's a bad idea.

It just make sense. If I owned Google, I'd start with the people who use Google Search Console and penalize them. Try and get them to use Google ads. Which is probably the reason they release 21574 updates per year.

(Just my opinion), I (obviously) have zero proof.
