I have only ever had cPanel for shared hosting. I was raised on cPanel when I had my first hosting account when I was 15. I have nothing against cPanel, except the cost add up. cPanel, then CloudLinux, then LiteSpeed, all those cost add up, plus the cost of the VPS. CyberPanel is all around a good choice. If I were wealthy, sure, I would use cPanel with CloudLinux and LiteSpeed on a VPS, but I am not.

Do you host your own projects, or customers websites? If you host customers websites, raise your price and pass the costs to the customer.

With CyberPanel, it is as if everything I need is right in front of me. Not excessive in options, just straight forward. I know a child can learn to use CyberPanel. It is so easy, I wonder why I ever used shared hosting

check kimsufi or soyoustart for better and cheaper deals. They are companies owned by OVH to recycle lower-end servers.

It's not about wealth, is all down to if these expenses are really worth it, if you generate 500$/month then paying 15$ for Cpanel, another 10$ for litespeed and some 50$ for the dedicated server is not really a good choice of course if you earn 10000$/month then you're ok.

But yeah, cyberpanel is a very solid option when it comes to cpanel alternatives, aapanel is also a good option, it's all down to your choice.

+1 for runcloud. It’s simple, easy to use, and gets everything done I need. They have OpenLiteSpeed in beta and can’t wait to try this in production. I use this for my fully managed web hosting clients who don’t need to login because that’s my job.

For client websites who want to manage their own account I have them on my VPS and use WHM and cPanel because it’s easy and it works.

Profit vs Cost is a major factor. Currently, I could not in good faith justify the cost. I am just starting out and getting established. Over time, I will evolve to a dedicated server from VPS. I am still in the little leagues for now; however, one day I aspire to have all the bells and whistles on my server(s).

I partially agree with you, for clients who manage their own sites, I use cPanel, WHM, and WHMCS because it is practical. For personal projects I use my VPS with CyberPanel, as I do not want to be tied in on another monthly fee. Again, this is my first time hearing of runcloud. I may get a 30-day trial of a VPS and try it out.

CyberPanel's Knowledge base will take time to develop. I simply host a file sharing website on the VPS I have an use CyberPanel on. If you have a dynamic website or use your VPS or server for more advanced functions and do not want to use command line, I can understand why CyberPanel is not best for you. If your not using CyberPanel, what are you using and how much are you paying for a lovely GUI? Also, was it OpenLiteSpeed giving you the trouble or Cyberpanel, or both?

I don't currently use a GUI. It was mostly just annoying to have to relearn everything since I already know how to fix most issues in Apache. I've got great respect for what they're doing. It's just not for me... Yet

Runcloud is nice because it’s a central place to see and manage servers unlike having to access the panel on each server. If you have one server that you share across clients or personal projects then Runcloud doesn’t make much sense because of the monthly fee. You might as well run cyberpanel in that case. Runcloud shines when you have multiple servers. I deploy DO or Vultr servers depending on a clients location so each of my clients get their own server that I can easily deploy using Runcloud. I’m also grandfathered in with Runcloud so I’m actually paying $10 monthly for unlimited servers.
