amazon affiliate is still worth it ?

It's still worth it because there are so many "best XXX" keywords out there with low to no competition PLUS Amazon is the biggest shopping platform in many markets so that 1 day cookie can lead to quite a bit of sales.

May I ask the average monthly searches of those low/zero competition KWs?
Because based on my experience, those KWs have less than 200 searches per month and are scattered in different topics, which cannot be combined into a niche site.

Still got potential but think of it this way even if your site is receiving the traffic there are other ways to monetize that traffic too

The idea goes like this:
1. Build an Amazon site.
2. Rank for non competitive keywords (do your research first).
3. Once it brings ongoing cash => Sell the website x 30.
Rinse an repeat.

Clickbank, Shareasale, CJ, and of course private/direct affiliate programs.

I would say it is not worth it. They cut the commission down to very low levels (https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/node/topic/GRXPHT8U84RAYDXZ). Unless you are in the beauty department where it is 10% I wouldn't bother (products there are cheap also..). The cut was not due to pandemic, Amazon made record revenues last year. It's permanent and there is a big risk they will completely cut off affiliates.

Competition is hard and you can get banned by Amazon for random bullshit and then you are left with a site with no products to sell unless you start dropshipping which I would suggest instead of Amazon.

SEO costs so much nowadays also that I just don't see the value in putting in so much time, money and hoping for something that is not rewarding and can be taken from you at any time.

If you do want to go with physical products you can make Amazon site and see which products sell the best and then dropship them yourself with way higher margins.

Just a heads up as well @debaakram1 that the Amazon cookie window is actually only 24 hours.
Additionally, there is a plugin I believe that will provide you with a 90 day cookie, but it only works on that individual product that has been added to the cart.

I do not think it is worth it. They have lowered commissions to 1-3%, ouch.
