Rewriting is part of what happens, it's not copyright infringement and you're not going to get anything from it or anyone to take it down. You can try scare him, but if he's got a bit about him, he'll realize that.

I have checked my articles and It hard to update as it will spam the contents. They are still in goods ranking but below him. It does not mean his articles are better but due to his aging & authority. I know it is part of the game, but it so hurt when one person rewrite half of my articles.

Regarding the lawsuit, it almost impossible for me as I'm just a random guy from Asia, and it is stated clearly on my "About Us" page. Should I report Hosting Company, Domain, and Ads Network (Ezoic)? Still doubt this.

They rewrote the content and even though it's plagiarism, it's technically a weak argument for copyright infringement. You can try submitting a complaint to their webhost - with screenshots explaining the similarities.

If they're on a cheap webhost, they might remove the site but if they're with a bigger webhost, they'll likely request you to file a formal DMCA (if it's hosted in the US) or copyright claim that specifies greater detail of what's been infringed.

It's worth a shot. Don't bother with Google, they'll take forever to get back to you and will likely need more substantive proof that it's yours.

Yes, You are right, I almost have no proof to go for a serious act like a court and I don't plan to do so.
Is it worth complaining to the hosting while he can move to a new one within a few hours, yes in case I can convince the hosting company that the content is plagiarism.
I want to go after Google because if google deindex the articles, it's done. But look like It is not easy to do that.

My site still gets around 70K-90K PV per month while the peak is 100K in November 2020. I still have good ranks but just below that guy. It does not impact much on my revenue, but emotionally.

My Action plan:
1. I will not send spammy link to him as he may do the same and I end up losing even further. But what if he send spamming to me first, how can I know? Can I see those links in Ahrefs?

2. Taking legal action is not easy in my case. It is hard to prove to google about the ownership of articles even I am the one who writes them. However, I will keep this in mind and research more in case I have to use it in the future.

3. I have analyzed his website and separate those articles into 3 parts below:
- Shitty Keyword (around 500+ articles): I feel bad for him just to read the title, this is the reason why he falls in love so much with my keyword and content. These keywords just a joke for the industry even the beginner. For example, the niche is about "Pig", these articles are like "Is the pig can sing?", "Is the pig can fly?" and he writes 1,000 words each while the answer just "Yes" and "No". It looks spammy to me, and It makes me wonder why the fk google ranks his site too high for some highly competitive keywords.

- Good Keyword (100+ articles): There are good keywords, and he got high ranking for some of them. I will focus on his high ranking first and follow by the lower kw. Make sure I capture them all..lol

- Shitty Keyword but rank 1-5 (100+ articles): Yes base on Ahrefs, some shitty keywords rank well. Some are rank for the title, while other ranks for a different keyword. Whatever, I will not write these articles and publish them on my current site. I can say my current site is very professional for both keyword and contents, so if I put these kinds of articles it will make my site look like spammy. But I want to write them and put on A NEW SITE. I may purchase an expired domain and focus on these keywords. Is it a good idea? I will look at the marketplace for a good expire domain. If you have anything to recommend pls feel free. I used to explore expireddomains.net but it very time-consuming for me.

4. I have a question regarding this issue. How can I prevent it from happening again? I don't mind if someone rewrites a few of my articles but when 100 articles being rewritten is different. Is register my site with (http://www.dmca.com) can prevent me from such kind of issue?

I read your last post on how to deal with this thief and I think your solution is quite reasonable. Still, I think doing a Google DMCA will protect you for future updates.

Anyway, expireddomains has a search feature you can use to find your niche domain. A seller on here, authorityoutreach.com has some expired domains (I am not affiliated with this guy).

Can you prevent this from happening again? I tell everyone that the internet is a copy and paste database so keep doing what you're doing to make money and let go of what you cannot control. You poured out your angst here and you made a decision based on feedback. I wish I had traffic like you do.

If it's a SHALLOW REWRITE, the content will be DERIVATIVE CONTENT and you can probably get his HOST to take down the infringing content via DCMA

But if the rewrite is DEEP - ie., uses the same info but using a different angle, different words, and aims to be BETTER than its sources in terms of engagement, you will have a tougher time proving your case
