Banned By Paypal?

I'd say you should use 2checkout, they have PayPal payment and credit card, only that funds are held for like 14 days, and 2checkout won't blame you for your customers mistake, when they detect suspecious payment, they simply ask your customer their ID.
But you need a registered business to open an account, I'm sure you do

You dont need a registered business.

I don't use PayPal. So I don't care if my customers won't buy anything from me. Skrill, Neteller, Payeer, Cryptocurrencies, Payoneer, Credit / debit card payment. I offer many different payment methods.
Yeah, when neteller blocks an account, they simply offer to transfer your funds to maybe a friend or relative, paxum also send your funds to your bank account when they block accounts, but not PayPal, they have crazy policies, and they have a crazy bot that does everything, just like Google.
It'll be better if they can just get reduce the 180 days sh*t to 30 days, many legit businesses have shutdown because of this, blaming you for your customer's problem

Are you sure, I've tried to open an account for a friend before, he had to provide business registration(scanned copy), you must have a function website with stuffs like refund policy, contact page with a physical address, TOS, and some other things, registration was quite a pain in my ass but after that you'll have no problem.
The only thing is that you don't need to have a business bank account, you can use a personal bank

Im sure i didnt need a business a year ago when i opened an account.

Yes you have to have a website with all that stuff, true.

You can even receive your money on Payoneer, which is great.

Yeah the only issue i had once is they contacted some of my customers, asking them what they purchased and if they were happy with the purchase. I found that quite offensive and invasive.

Other than that i never had any problems with 2co. Works well.

Well, I don't know why, but when I registered, they required that.
I don't know about asking your customers for what they purchased by I believe it's for the greater good, 2checkout is the best for me

I think its quality control, i dont know.

Actually i remember when i was registering they asked me for some special number, and i was sure it had to do with business or tax number or somehing. But i asked them and they just told me i can put my ID number in there and move on. Somehing like that i remember.

Do you know anything about paddle? Im looking at them as an interesting choice to use, very similar to 2co.

Paddle? This is the first time I'm hearing of it.
I'll do a little research on them

The same happened with me few years ago and now I can't use it.
The reason was that they feel risky to deal with me )) I do SEO services only and VA.
Now I'm using few paypal accounts my friends accounts and not holding big money and everything is fine.
So when you reach 10k+ monthly Gaypal will analyze more and they can ban even for the customers trash transaction.

Sorry to hear it happen to you. Next, if you ever use PP (or for anybody else) - make a habit withdrawing money from them whenever you have a chance. I personally withdraw to my bank account every 250$.

I'll do a little research on them

From what little research i did, they work pretty much like 2checkout, just their fees are slightly higher, i believe at 5% + 0.50 per transaction.

Oh also i believe their cashout minimum is $100 (while 2co is $50).

Anyway, let me know what you think about them.

Its funny how this Gaypal is allowing all the chinese scammers to use their services ( who are building shops for a few days, spamming the facebook with ads and selling completely different things as described in their website, cheaper garbage products). If you are from Europe or US you get your account on hold, very quickly when an idiot customer is opening a case against you, even if you didnt scammed that guy. But as a chinese scammer you are banking hard. Trash Gaypal

Offering SEO or IM services and suddenly wake up to find an email from Paypal advising you that you are no longer allowed an account and they're holding your funds for 180 days and you have no idea why?

It's happened to a few SEO guys I know this past 12 months, myself included. I think too that @Stan Fox might have been caught out by them too?
In my case it was an email notifying me they had closed my fully verified business account and locked £30k+ away for 180 days. They also locked and closed my 2004 personal account and locked my funds in there away too.

Seems these bans are not related to what you are selling, more often it's related to WHO you are selling to. Seems to deal with clients who are selling SMM services which PP considers illegal, which means that they consider you to be breaching their T&Cs too.

So basically, you are responsible for your client's activities... So be careful... If you deal with a lot of peoples over Paypal... This thing could also happen to you... Even if you have no idea what your payers are doing.

Where does this stupidity end? You have a client who sells firearms, someone buys a gun and shoots someone... PP going to blame you too?

Their lack of transparency matches their arrogance = fucking overwhelming. They have still to give me a valid reason why they closed the account. They have yet to release any funds back to me, looks like it'll all come on the 181st day.

They almost screwed up our event business years back when they locked the account with £120k in there, preventing us from paying the hotel and conference centre etc. I hated them ever since for doing that, thus we only went with them again because market research showed buyers like using their platform.

If you are using these cowboys, remove your balance daily and don't be stunned if they fuck you over too without good reason or warning.
Is there recourse to sue PayPal?

i also do wonder why i didnt recieve my $100 refund | anyone can answer? hit the like button if papal is s***ty

I understand where you come from in terms of money being unlawfully held. However, any company dealing with finances have more to lose in the long run, if they do not follow due diligence if they suspect something fraudulent is going on. It is unfair to the individual, but they have these rules in place for a reason. A lot of people scam other people and use Paypal to do so. Thus, if they suspect something is going on, they will investigate. It could be as simple as you spending more money than normal, which is what happened to me as of recently. They asked for my passport details and then restored my account within 24 hours. I was pretty lucky. The other thing you have to watch for is people who unrightfully may report you, if they feel you are a threat to their livelihood or way of making money. Online, people do take note of affiliates and people who do well. Even on Amazon there is a trend where indie authors deliberately hire and target other books competing with theirs and try and get the books banned. I am part of author groups and seen the woes and anger of people who had this happen to. In this day and age, it is a dog eat dog world and people will do a lot to harm others. Just be careful really.
Idk what sort of investigation they run for 6 months straight and hold my funds. & Without releasing any info about how they are doing the investigation nor with any discussion with customer involved. So if they can't be transparent, they shouldn't expect transparency about customers business either.

Hopefully you'll be able to recover the full amount after 180 days. Probably you are already aware of this, but PayPal likes to take money from limited accounts these days, if they feel, that the account holder "violated" their acceptable use policy, which can amount to $2,500 per violation.

"If you are a seller and you violate the Acceptable Use Policy, then ... you will be liable to PayPal for the amount of PayPal's damages caused by your violation of the Acceptable Use Policy. You acknowledge and agree that $2,500.00 U.S. dollars per violation of the Acceptable Use Policy is presently a reasonable minimum estimate of PayPal's actual damages considering all currently existing circumstances, including the relationship of the sum to the range of harm to PayPal that reasonably could be anticipated because, due to the nature of the violations of the Acceptable Use Policy, actual damages would be impractical or extremely difficult to calculate. PayPal may deduct such damages directly from any existing balance in any PayPal account you control."

Best of luck @MisterF
I hope you are able to get your money withdrawn or reach a positive outcome with these scums.
These fuckers locked away my business account years back too
Nowadays, I just use it to buy personal services.

PayPal has found a way to make money from yours, they should pay money with interest if the are holding we just need sue them once

They are scammers, if they were on bhw I would have shitlisted them
