React native/expo is an awesome solution. Make no mistake about that. I have finished an app already and it went live in app store/play store.

You can have gigs for like 4000 USD on fiverr and yes people buy them. Only thing is that delivery time cant be more than 30 days. But you can have like 3 deliverables for like 1 month each.
Also fiverr is just one platform there are others also you can get your own agency.
I use fiverr search to validate what people want and do, demand and supply.

Yes. React native is awesome. It is just when you try to build a web app + androi/ios app from one codebae there are few complications (social authentication, notifications etc)

Hmm i guess you could break out/eject from expo for those, but then; that's counter intuitive.

Yeah yeah, + I am using nextjs on top of that. So it is all a big pile of mess.

But when it works, it is fucking awesome. You maintain fixed set of components and viola everything is updated.

Well there's some bloat for sure, atleast with the permissions (for managed workflow that is). My app's ios bundle was about 100mb, which is much more than what I had expected initially. The android app was about 27mb as far as I can remember.
However, I would still recommend RN's managed workflow if the app is informational. You can literally finish an app in a week, including ios and android platforms. If you are a purist, then use the bare workflow. There will be no bloat whatsoever (i think). The bare workflow is used by many big companies like linkedin, facebook and instagram. There's a reason why they use RN.

Edit: facebook/insta probably does use native code as well along with RN. So, don't quote me on that please.

Pays to paypal or payoneer and then you can transfer to your bank.

I have programming background and have knowledge of JavaScript.

If you have some ES6/ES5 knowledge, learning expo shouldn't take more than 2 weeks I think. I shared a course in the jr vip section (ultimate react native course by Mosh). Give it a try may be (I used the same course to learn expo, so I know it works).

Once you are pretty good with expo, try ejecting from it and learn the pure RN.

Mostly through personal recommendation. Nothing specific. Work is work though. I am not gonna give someone 20% cut and then work my ass off for much less money.

I have a well paying day job, so I am not that desperate for clients.

What does (client) need to go live ? Vps, dedicated server, shared hosting, apple , google account?
