Very strange. I just saw it a few days ago but I checked again right now and it's not there anymore. Also his website isn't working anymore. Nothing works on the page itself. Wonder what happened?

You know what? The one time I saw it, I didn't subscribe or save it! I've been trying to find it again in my search
history but I can't seem to find it yet. I can't remember what it was. I just remember he had a lot of videos just explaining
things (how to) and most of his videos had only a couple thousand views or less and I think subscribers list on his channel was also about 1 or 2 thousand only. Not saying he wasn't real. I fully understood that sometimes really successful people with successful projects may not want to show it but their actual personal vlogs have only hundred views and subs. I was asking him about it actually. Just thought it was interesting that there are many "successful" people who have only hundreds of views on their videos and subs but I guess their success is on other channels and not revealed.

His personal channel was a person's name (first and last name), that's all I remember. Something like Robert Perreira or Peter Sanchez some kind of hispanic or maybe filipino name gosh I can't remember! I wanted to actually watch the rest of his other videos he had up (think he had about 50-100 videos on his channel but mostly all low views).

Note: Not saying anything negative about him. I think he's genuine and sincere and maybe something just happened and he wanted to shut it down or make it private? I'm not sure why though suddenly his website doesn't work and why he took his personal yt channel off too. I hope to hear back from him, he seemed like a really good person and sincere.

No, what I meant was that a lot of people used to ask questions to him non-stop about the process. Now suddenly nobody is asking anymore lol. I just thought that was odd especially since it coincides with the timing of his disappearance. Surely some of these people who have been in contact with him or even bought his course must be able to tell us where he went or if they are still in contact with him? Common sense.

Look for „Jon Corres“ on YouTube, that’s his personal channel where he gives tips.
He seems not to be that active here at the moment so that’s why this thread is kinda dead

Do you think the new Copyright Laws will have any impact on newer Compilation Channels? Will YouTube tighten their restrictions for "reused material" when doing Monetization for new channels? I was just curious what your take on this is because the new Law isn't 100% clear on the specifics when I read it (Started my Channel this month so I just want to be prepared).

Hmmmm, hard to say! I know for a fact though that detecting copyright will always be done by a machine. There's no way YoUTube would ever hire the manpower to have individuals manually check for copyright- it would be too expensive.

A side note: one of my friends uploaded a video, then reuploaded the same video. One got a copyright claim, and the other one didnt even though it's the same EXACT video. A flawed machine nonetheless.

Thanks again for your replies Weng. I've watched a couple of your videos from your personal youtube page. It's nice to see a genuine person
sharing and talking about this sort of stuff. Your channel reminds me of the "stealth wealth" channels where the videos only get a few hundred or even a thousand views and subs are low, BUT they are highly successful people with successful channels or other projects that aren't fully disclosed.

I've seen some other channels where guys have like 2000 subs and each video gets about 500 - 1000 views but they are talking about how to make 6 figure incomes and show their super sports car and big ass houses lol. It's kinda interesting.

Anyways onto a different question. I know you said that your views on your channels are 100% organic and you don't do any kind of paid advertising. I was just wondering if you use things like other social media? For example, videos that are uploaded often need a little "kick in the butt" to get it going and unless you are already a famous youtuber, most videos that are just uploaded won't suddenly go viral or get a lot of views in the beginning. So I have seen that one could easily created a FB group in that particular niche, spend months building a giant fb group and then start posting/sharing your new youtube uploads into your fb group(s) and that gives them a nice little jump start of a couple hundred views within a day or so. Usually once you get that little kick, it helps the video to pick up steam and have better chance to go viral, esp. when people "share" the video (spread a lot faster).

In the past, I used to play maplestory and just for fun, recorded videos and uploaded them on my yt channel. To get my video to go somewhat viral, I would always post my new upload in a maplestory forum such as basilmarket (I haven't used it in years now but I'm sure they are still up and popular). When I posted my link in that forum, I instantly got several hundred views within a few hours. That would give me the bump I needed to start collecting a lot of organic views from youtube and eventually my videos would hit 25k to 100k views each video. If I didn't post on that forum and get a bump, my videos would not perform well or would take a much longer time to get rolling or sometimes never at all.

I've created a few fb groups just for fun over the years and some of them grew pretty big (30K+ members) but they aren't always active which is the big problem (mainly because I didn't regularly upload and keep it active myself). But I can see how using other social media networks like building a group and then posting on your own groups to get views on your YT vids could help a lot. I also think if one could start their own forum in their niche and grow it, you will be golden each time you share your video uploads because it's your forum and you can pin it at the front or top anytime and as much as you want.

I currently have an fb group with 50K+ members in a niche that is VERY active but it is not a niche that I am particularly interested in or make YT vids of lol. It was just for fun as I really spent a lot of my days just fooling around on the net and one thing led to another. The only thing I could post in my group are amazon affiliate links. I'm making a very tiny bit of commission from sales with my amazon affiliate links but they are almost all coming from my YT videos and not from my very active FB group. I should note that the FB group is non-American so that's probably why because most of the people in the group do not live in America or shop on Amazon.

Just curious if you use any other social media links, reddit, forums, etc to share your video links to get more views? I suspect you wouldn't really need it anyways now that your channels have taken off and can attract their own views. I think mainly speaking for smaller channels that don't get any push from YT to utilize things like other social media to get their first 100+ views to get the ball rolling.

Strange thing happens on YT sometimes. I had a video I posted 2 years ago that only got about 4k views after 2 years. About 1 month ago it suddenly got suggested by YT. I have no idea how or why. I never did anything to it. I just left it alone for 2 years. For some reason, YT picked it up and started suggesting it to youtubers and everyone started flooding in. The video now is nearing 100k views after it was stagnant for 2 years!!! So it seems that sometimes it's just about trying to figure out how to get YT to push / suggest your video the world. Interesting.

Yes, my views are 100% organic, but because my time is so limited, I dont do any other external promotion; however, if you were to do external promotion i.e. facebook groups-> youtube, this would rank your video higher as YouTube can detect when external traffic is recommending your videos.

Just make sure you post in relevant forums as you have been. NEVER use sub4sub groups, those are teh worst.

It's tough to say how you would monetize your FB group of 50k members but you definitely have an asset there. Something recent that i learned is that some companies will sponsor facebook groups by replacing the cover image with a "sponsored by company X" this might eb something worth looking into.

2 years later huh? That is why YouTube is so great. You NEVER knew when an old video is gonna get picked up out of nowhere and completely skyrocket your channel. This is why I love YT and to me, videos that "dont perform well" still have a chance of performing well in the future.

Sorry one other thing I wanted to share with you. I actually asked about this a few months back somewhere in this forum.
There is channel that peaked my interest. His name is Jack Chapple. He actually lives close to my home city.
I noticed on his yt page that he was posting for a couple years on things like investments, stocks how to make money etc
but only had 2-5k views per video and at the time (1 year ago) less than like 20k subs. He was obviously making big money
elsewhere and not on youtube ...I think his actual job was a stock market broker or something like that. He had a big house
and expensive car but his YT channel only had 2k views.

Then I noticed he made a sudden change. He always had the skills and knowledge, but he just didn't deliver it the right way until
he made a change. He started to make videos of only his voice (reading a script) which he may or may not have written, and paste's
the entire script in the description of each video. Covid19 also helped because the topics he started to talk about were related to
the long-term affects of covid19 on the world's economy. I noticed from his footages he was basically just using stock footage either
from artgrid, envato, storyblocks, shutterstock etc....so if he talked about China, all the footages were just of China (cities, ships, people
in the streets, night shots, aerial shots, great wall of china etc) while he talked about something. The titles were all catchy and had
shock value too like, "The New Superpower" or "The Next Crisis is Coming" things like that suddenly his videos were getting 500k to 2 million
views each! His channel also skyrocketed from 20k subs to 500k subs in this year alone. The production value doesn't seem that hard.
What he's good at is speaking (good voice), good audio quality (I don't know what equipment he uses) but that made me invest and buy
a shure mic phone which is what I did along with cloudlifter and focusrite. He also uses good background music that matches the tone
and mood of his videos and talks. Package it altogether and even though a lot of his statistics aren't correct and people call him out on
the mistakes he's made, it's like you don't get punished for it anyways on YT. You can pretty much just pretend to sound good and know
what you are talking about and you don't have to be entirely accurate and mistake-proof. Oddly, he hasn't a posted a new video in 2 months.
I would think he would keep doing it because he must be pulling easily $1000-$2000 per video. So this really made me think about getting
a subscription to artlist and artgrid because I would be able to get all the no copyright music/background and video for my videos. Currently
I just use the free sites like yayimages and pexels that I got off bhw recommendations.

Just wanted to share and if you have any comments on it.

I think this is a great way to scale because he no longer has to be on camera. I ll take a look at his channel after i finish replying to all these messages

I have never experienced throttling; my friends have; but they just keep moving forward and never really fixed the problem. I do not use the same Google ID for every channel; all different.

I have a question regarding accounts to start with. I have a channel that is aged, has a few videos on it, a few hundred views but nothing special. Would you suggest I try and get this channel monetized by obtaining views/subs, or is it better to just get a legit and stable already monetized account and use that as a base?

It would depend what route youre going. If youre looking to go the faceless viral video route which im doing, then yes start with a monetized account. If youre looking to film, sell digital products, and affiliate market, then use your own old account.

It's still 100% possible. There will always be more content creators than there are viewers on YouTube.

Starting from scratch is not a mistake. I know some of my students have done it and gotten monetized within a couple of months.

I want to clarify, do you use 5-10 seconds from the original video only once (in your one video) or you can take several parts of 5-10 seconds from one video (if yes, how many parts can you use in your video (on average)? You can use 5-10 second segments of the SAME video.

I can take anywhere from 2-5 parts from the same video as long as it matches whats being said in the voiceover.

So the script writer is just in charge of writing the script. Your video editor will be the one in charge of finding the footage and images to be used in the video.

Hey man, just ready this thread from start to finish and im really inspired. I just started my own youtube channel in a niche I love and am passionate about.


I have a few questions.

1. How do I get traffic to my videos if I dont have any subscribers? Do I pay for ads? I have been posting to reddit and forums/groups related to my niche. But not sure if there is anything else I can do.
2. My channel is faceless, but my videos require a lot of research for each one. I'm aiming to publish 2-3 times a week, but would it be worth it to also have someone write scripts for me to increase the amount I can output?
3. Kind of a broad question, but what would you recommend to me as someone starting a new channel?

My CPM is $4.21 but my RPM is only $0.60.
Any idea why this is so low? All of my videos are monetize but I'm only making arounf $2.5 - 3k from 4 million views.
I have all the ads on besides 'non skipable' and on average have 3 ads per 8 minute video.
My average view duration is pretty low tho (2 minutes), any insight would be amazing.

Sorry for late reply but I live in a developing country where there are hundreds of educated unemployed young population. They are sitting in their home and making $7 per video and $210 per month is enough for them.

And as I myself is a script writer, video editor and VO artist, I know how to manage all of them at once.
