FUD / FOMO: Weak Hands Shake Easily

So why is XRP in prison then?

I mean... You know what i mean...
It's not. The court case is against Ripple, Brad, and Chris. It's not against XRP. On top of that, there are only allegations until they're actually proven. It won't even begin until February. Most of the stuff in the case may get thrown out immediately as it falls outside the 5 year statute of limitations. As for the other stuff, again, it needs to be proven.

Another answer as to why, is to provide regulatory clarity about XRP, so the USA can determine what Japan, Singapore, the UK, and virtually the rest of the world has already determined, which is that XRP is not a security. Remember, ~95٪ of all XRP transactions happen outside the United States.

XRP is not "in prison", as you say. The price movement was due to FUD, as outlined in the initial post. It was the involuntary reaction to a mere mention of a lawsuit, as Bitcoin maximalists pounced on the opportunity to spread disinformation to their millions of followers.

The case could have serious consequences for the XRP ecosystem and set bad precedent even for other cryptos. But it will take years to fully play out in the courts if they don't settle (which seems unlikely)

I see. Okay, thanks for the education.

I have no intelligent answer. See i never went to college, so my posts are mostly about penises and vaginas :p

But ill probably buy $300 XRP and $300 Cardano and $200 Chainlink (or $400/400 XRP/Cardano) and sit on it till the cows come home.

The cows might start coming home sooner than you think. VISA is working with Ripple. Amazon is working with Ripple. Banks are working with Ripple. Banks are soon (allegedly) going to start creating their own stablecoins from the XRPL. Central Bank Digital Currencies will (allegedly) be on the XRPL. This will all be monumental as we see it unfold.

many of those joint ventures have been put on hold as a result of the court case though...

This is false. These and many other companies are still moving forward with Ripple and with using the XRPL.

I thought people won't buy xrp is not about if xrp is dead or not.

It's just...we have so many options to choose in crypto market that far from "dead or not".

So why betting on something riskier than others.

No risk. No reward.

Take my money!!! :D

But I do wonder, why are you defending XRP so much?

Are you heavily invested in it?
Are you directly involved with it?
Pure belief in the project?

MrYaIkx

HODLing STRONG!
Are you heavily invested in it?
"heavily invested" is relative to each individual. Simply put, yes. I have an XRP investment.
Are you directly involved with it?
I'm on the outside, looking in. I'm not directly involved in any way with Ripple Labs.
Pure belief in the project?
I do believe in many of the projects that Ripple Labs is working on and that I have the privilege to know about.

It's not that I defend XRP so much, as XRP is a currency. If it feels like I often defend Ripple, it's because there is a lot of false information being spread by people who know very little or even nothing about Ripple, and just want to get clicks and / or for whatever other agenda(s) they have that causes them to spread rumors and lies. I feel like people should be able to be aware of what's actually happening so that they can have more insight into what's happening, rather than only being limited to only / mostly the very loud voices spewing so many words of opposition. I think XRP is great for what it is and unfortunately, people are very quick to buy into the FUD to make people believe that it is what it's not.

buy > hodl > hodl >hodl >hodl >hodl >hodl> sell
and investing to another thing : D

Look at all the FUD threads that appeared when there were a few market corrections on BTC. People started getting nervous, selling, and taking losses. If you're a trader, that's one thing (as you're doing something different), but if not and you just got scared from FUD, then you probably shouldn't be investing in the most volatile market known to Planet Earth, anyway. Weak hands...

XRP is a flop :D
I thank you for your wisdom. Research be damned. I should just listen to you.

Still this, though not corrections, this time.
