Accepting Bitcoin in Magento - Seeking feedback

Hey guys, I'm looking to accept Bitcoin payments via our Magento (1.9) shop.

The store sells psilocybin microdose capsules. Not being fully educated on Bitcoin just yet, and given that our product is not entirely whitehat, I'm looking for any suggestions as to what options we should look into. (Coingate didn't accept)

Any suggestions would be great and much appreciated

I remember using CoinPayments a few years ago, not sure if it's still a think but worth checking out.

If you don't need BTC converted into USD or any other currency, the best option is to make your own solution. Download Bitcoin Core, generate dynamically addresses based on your keys and check each payment each minute.

If your website is built with wordpress. It would be easier because there are plugins you can use to solve this issue of receiving bitcoin on your website

Ya they have an extension for 1.9, they were atop our list. Just unsure if they accept all merchants like us

Why use a middle man who will take a cut? You can download a bitcoin wallet (electrum for example), generate a new wallet and accept payments straight to it. You might need a custom plugin though for currency conversion rate.

I've got an Exodus wallet. At the moment we are just looking for something to plug-in and go with.
