SEC sue Ripple. Price tanked

It's all facts LOL. Citation: https://www.sec.gov/litigation/complaints/2020/comp-pr2020-338.pdf

The ponzi scheme circle, taken directly from the complaint:
  • Co-Founder, Larsen, and Ripple Agent-1 then transferred 80 billion XRP to Ripple
and the remaining 20 billion XRP to themselves—9 billion XRP each to Co-Founder and Larsen
and 2 billion XRP to Ripple Agent-1—as compensation for Ripple’s founders. After this transfer,
Ripple and its founders controlled 100% of XRP.
  • Ripple determined to create a market for and sell XRP to the public to monetize its holdings and finance its operations.
  • Ripple began to make public statements with respect to XRP (then
Ripple Credits) that began to create in investors an expectation of profit based on Ripple’s efforts.
  • Ripple issued at least 324 million XRP as fees, rebates, and incentives to entities associated with ODL
  • Ripple also entered into agreements with at least ten digital asset trading platforms. Ripple paid these platforms a fee, typically in XRP, to permit the buying and selling of XRP on their systems.
  • Ripple was able to raise at least $1.38 billion by selling XRP
So basically you're admitting to not having any idea. Got it. Lawsuit charges are just that -- charges. That's the entire purpose of the courtroom, which is to determine what is true and what is not.
Do you have any ACTUAL facts?

I could file a lawsuit against you, claiming that you stole my exercise bike. Because that's the charge I put in my lawsuit, should that be automatically considered to be true as well, regardless of whether you actually stole it or not? The burden of proof rests with the prosecution. I would need to PROVE that you stole my exercise bike.

Dude i understand you have faith in Ripple(xrp) and you have invested on it ,but you have to accept the fact that is not a real coin ,any coin which has no real life use or unlimited supply will lose its value in a longer run its pointless to have such coin (Token) ask yourself go to the btc forums and see no proper crypto guy recognizes xrp as a cryptocurrency ,if you still believe in xrp and close your eyes like cat thinks the world stops when it closes its eyes, its the same with xrp.

Open your eyes! You can put the ponzi scheme circle together using ONLY public information:

The primary source of funding Ripple has been sales of the XRP cryptocurrency. According to its own records it sold $1,254.54 million worth of XRP between Q4 2016 and Q2 2020, to a mix of institutional investors and retail investors via sales on cryptocurrency exchanges. Every quarter, Ripple pays it's strategic investor, MoneyGram to provide liquidity to its ODL network. "we [MoneyGram] sell XRP as soon as we receive it" In Q1 2020, Ripple paid $16M to Money Gram: https://ir.moneygram.com/news-relea...ernational-reports-first-quarter-2020-results

Okay. We're done here.
You're a funny guy.

Dude, you're really making a complete ass out of yourself.

You either work for Ripple, or have a huge amount of XRP and can't face the reality that your precious coin is soon going to be worth nothing.

Seriously just grow up, swallow your pride, and accept what's going to happen.

Why do you need to mine XRP?

The reason why ripple hold so much XRP is because they want to become a digital version of SWIFT.

How can you have so much trust in a company to transfer huge amounts of money if anyone can mine XRP at anyone time and then flood the market and devalue the price of it.

The very reason they hold so much XRP is the very reason of what Ripple is trying to become.

That's what people don't understand or can't fathom. Cryptocurreny has to be mined and accessed by all YET all Ripple are trying to do is use blockchain technology to solve a real world problem. Once you can accept that and move past that most "shit coins" as people call them start to make sense.

The technology is very much early adapting and like most things people who have the vision to see what's going to happen and where things go with it will win and others will loose. I'm not saying Ripple will make it (I hope they will) but I guarantee there will be people who will look back in 60-70 years with some regrets how they should have held that coin / token.

Majority of people here see cryptocurrency see it as either a quick rich scheme or some way to make money or how bitcoin should replace the banks. IF it's not centralised to a degree then how do you control the price? Imagine having all your money in bitcoin your entire pension then over night that drops - what are you going to do then?

The same can be applied to banks (and stocks) YES but at least there are some fall backs with them or safe guards (either markets close to banks can have government bailouts).

Yet people have so much wild idea that a free and open currency with no protection is the way to go. You just need to look at how many "Paypal stole my money threads" on this very forum to see that the vast users here would shit a brick if bitcoin was the day to day currency and it tanked or fluctuated without any form of control or regulation..

There is more to crypto and blockchain than mining something using a graphics card and trying to get rich.

There are some real ideas and advancements for the technology that are only start starting to get traction.

Thanks for the long reply ,hope some day when you are free you should read about what is cryptocurrency and how this market works ,and what is p2p why its important ,how the full node works ,why everyone is going after bitcoin. You will find the answers oneday hopefully,by winning an argument here ,satoshi nakamato wont send me some 100 bitcoins ,nor i own many bitcoins , I feel bad for people not understanding the core concept and how this market works ,Hopefully oneday you find out ,that day it will be too late ,by then xrp would have came to know why investing in tokens are stupid .

Okay. We're done here.
You're a funny guy.
I personally feel sad for guys who invested in xrp and bearing the loss and still advocating and defencing xrp and ripple ,glad to see lots of loyal followers for xrp .

This is the same kind of nonsense we heard from loyal BitConnect followers, right up until the day it got pulled from the market and was worth nothing.

Some people just can't face reality. Anybody who is still bullish on XRP right now needs to give their head a good wobble. This coin is DONE, in just a few months there will only be a small cult following left clinging on to it, every other sane person will have sold their holdings and at least reclaimed something back.
