SEC sue Ripple. Price tanked

You can still buy BTC right now without KYC. By the way, KYC is not what made BTC not anonymous. Perhaps you should take an IT course on Networking and Security. In the bigger picture of it all, KYC had nothing to do with whether or not you were anonymous.
you are right i should see a lot of things that i don't know about many processes since i am not a technician, but i know that cryptos were not thought for banks but to have an economic freedom, surely utopian but always that is the concept, out of the banking system.

made a quick $300 since yesterday off binance's XRPUP token.

These price tanks are opportunities.

I think you are getting everything wrong there are 2 different things .
1)Ripple-cryptocurrency(they call themselves as cryptocurrency)
2)Ripple-The technology which banks adopted ,thats a very good technology which is not decentralized and it acts like regular bank transfer.

None is against the technology ripple which lots of banks have adopted to use ,people are against the so called cryptocurrency ripple which is centralized and truth of supply is not fully disclosed to the public so when the supply vs demand breaks the system itself breaks down ,this is what i was talking about for a longtime .

Hope you dont confuse Ripple (the technology) with the Ripple cryptocurrency
If you're going to spread disinformation, at least get the name right. Ripple is not the cryptocurrency. XRP is the cryptocurrency.

Ripple Labs, Inc. = company
XRP = cryptocurrency

I would like to correct my statement,i mismatched the name of the currency and company but everyone who is in market calls the token as ripple not xrp ,so i went by that ,my intention was to create awareness about the difference between the technology which is a good technology none is against it ,but as a coin(token) its a shit token which has no value which is just boasted by the company ,it will fall badly .Mineable coins will always stay in market(not all ,but the top ones which serve real life use).Non mineable coins will go down right into the Garbage once the big companies starts liquidating the assests, meanwhile mineable coins and decentralised coins like btc,eth none can control ,miners have big control over the network

but everyone who is in market calls the token as ripple not xrp
Everyone? Seriously?

Only the people who know very little or nothing about Ripple and / or XRP, confuse the two. It's actually a pretty good elementary metric to quickly identify and sort out those who at least have a little clue about what they're talking about, from those who blatantly don't really know anything about XRP at all.

Wouldn't be surprised if in 12 months time ripple is worth $0, once these guys get sued and go bankrupt you won't be able to give them away.

Yep. It's all a scam. Oh, and since Amazon has partnered with Ripple, let's go ahead and shut down Amazon, as well. Netflix? They use Amazon's servers. Let's get them, too. Hell, let's just take the entire internet down.

Hopefully now, @pofigy, you see my point.

Your saltiness is hilarious kid.

I never said it's a scam did I? But if they get sued, and go bankrupt, it doesn't take a genius to realise it will be worthless.

Again, you've got no idea about what you're talking about. How the hell do you sue a currency?

You are a sucker for FUD, do some proper due diligence... don't just read the bitcoin maximalist Twitter and youtube comments.

Everyone knew Ripple was dumping on their supporters for years, I never understood why the hell people were still getting involved with that shit. Not to mention the 70-80% of entire XRP supply is/was distributed to Ripple.
It's an obvious get rich scheme. It was no secret.

You can't lose that much more if you bought XRP during 2017 hype

Indeed. XRP aside, it's funny when people speak on cryptocurrency as if Bitcoin has never rapidly fluctuated and dropped in value.

You're correct about how the vast majority of people in these threads have no idea about XRP while speaking do passionately against it, no matter how facetious and misleading their words are.

Exhibit A:

Exhibit B:

Cryptocurrency is not and never has been 100% about anonymity. It's always been about speed, personal empowerment, efficiency, more control over your own finances, more cost-effective transactions, and security.

If you want 100% anonymity, there are coins for that. Of course you're still going to need to think beyond just the coins. And no, a VPN doesn't make you anonymous, either.

XRP has never been promoted as an anonymous solution. That's not what it's for. XRP is for doing what Bitcoin does, but better. It's thousands of times faster. It's even much faster than Ether, which is many times faster than Bitcoin. XRP is also cheaper. It's just a really good digital asset.

Anyway, I'm not here to change minds. Believe what you want. I'm not your financial adviser. I'm not giving investment advice, either. I'm simply sharing my personal thoughts. Do what you want -- or don't. I'll just keep filling my bags.
It's a full circle ponzi scheme

Anyone who is not diversified in crypto market is taking a huge risk.
Ripple is definitely a questionable coin that I still hold but I reduced my holding percentage.

You should really cite your verified sources for such claims.
Since you've already confirmed for certain that this is what happens, then that should be an easy task for you to do.
I'd love to see your evidence.
It's all facts LOL. Citation: https://www.sec.gov/litigation/complaints/2020/comp-pr2020-338.pdf

The ponzi scheme circle, taken directly from the complaint:
  • Co-Founder, Larsen, and Ripple Agent-1 then transferred 80 billion XRP to Ripple
and the remaining 20 billion XRP to themselves—9 billion XRP each to Co-Founder and Larsen
and 2 billion XRP to Ripple Agent-1—as compensation for Ripple’s founders. After this transfer,
Ripple and its founders controlled 100% of XRP.
  • Ripple determined to create a market for and sell XRP to the public to monetize its holdings and finance its operations.
  • Ripple began to make public statements with respect to XRP (then
Ripple Credits) that began to create in investors an expectation of profit based on Ripple’s efforts.
  • Ripple issued at least 324 million XRP as fees, rebates, and incentives to entities associated with ODL
  • Ripple also entered into agreements with at least ten digital asset trading platforms. Ripple paid these platforms a fee, typically in XRP, to permit the buying and selling of XRP on their systems.
  • Ripple was able to raise at least $1.38 billion by selling XRP

I am new to the crypto market and am looking for a suggestion on where to discuss them. Thanks
