Yes, kindly do not buy .eu domains and start your seo link building over it. 1 or 2 months down the line they randomly ask you to provide ID for verification. If you fail to verify then the domain name will be suspended.

If you are doing churn and burn or some legit business then you are good to go. Otherwise, if you don't want your ID to be verified then stay away from this domain extension.

Yeah, use it for redirect , forum social spam , churn and burn , testing etc. Not for real business unless you have eu id.

I have plenty of .EU expired domains, and never been asked for verification. But I've never bought a brand new .EU domain. Interesting to know, although I'm from EU I would not have any problems :p

.com domains work just as well on foreign Google results so an .eu won't really matter

I have been using this domain for over two months and nothing like it has been there.

Where did you buy .eu domain that didn't require ID up front? I thought all registrars require up front ID for .eu

They haven't asked for my ID yet (I am not from the EU)
They are burn and churn projects tho

Note: this does not make this provider any good.
all the registered domains on this registrar was given to me for free

is that only for .eu or also other ccTLDs?

The European Union also has some of the strictest rules on privacy, data governance and spamming, so there's tons of reasons why you should avoid an EU domain unless you're selling to that market specifically.

A number of CCTLDs verify ownership - always make sure yo look it up before registering. For example .au requires it as well.

Just thought of this, but OP are you 100% certain this is the real domain registrar contacting you for ID? Is it possible it's an identity scam?
