And why as opposed to other browsers?
Firefox still rulez
I use Chrome, but am interested in switching as I'm not a fan of giving companies too much power. Plus I don't think there's much difference in most browsers nowadays. Feel free to give any suggestions.
I highly recommend Brave. It is also a chromium browser, but it blocks all the ads... and you can earn crypto while browsing ;-)
Sure, thats what I use chrome for - but if I want to go ad free (for example while listing to music on youtube), I use Brave.I actually need to see ads when I am online for a variety of reasons.
Chromium is a beast, so it always uses a lot of resources. If you compare an app created in electron js (chromium) or an app created in c++, electron js will always be the resource hog.I feel like windows edge is lighter than chrome. When I used to use chrome my PC used to lag a little more. Not sure if that's a fact though.
That is a resource hog.
That is the main reason why i use Brave (https://brave.com) - BTW: I am NOT affiliated with them - i just love the browser.I'm on Mac. Switched from Chrome to Edge just because I don't want to help Google with more data, even though Microsoft is no saint. It feels identical to me, and is maybe a tad bit less resource-intensive. Don't see any other reason to keep using Chrome
