Anyone else use a gmail + alias for bhw email get locked just now?

Said it couldn't send emails to my address, and i had to change the email. I changed it to another + alias which never received a confirmation email, and had to swap to a none alias. Been using this email since i registered years ago, did you guy's change it up? @BassTrackerBoats

Happened seconds after i posted in the proton email thread too, Freaking spooky.

Mods would not change the email on your account without your request for them to do so, even then, you can update it yourself under Account Details.

Unless this is not what you're asking?

never showed up using my alias, I had to swap to my other gmail address which got the confirmation right away. :\ Tried with 2 aliases, neither worked. It's just random, i've been using the same email address for my BHW account for years with out any issue, suddenly BHW itself is telling me it can't send me emails and i had to change the email.

In that case, visit support.blackhatworld.com for assistance as this is something that will need to be addressed by staff.

Well, I'm all sorted out now. I had a ticket all written up before i realized maybe they just blacklisted alias addresses suddenly, so I used my normal address which worked. So my accounts fine now. That's what led me to this post to find answers :p. But since everything is working fine now i don't see an issue to bother the ticket people with a ticket anymore i guess :)

I'll ask the IT department to have a look at this just in case there is a bug of sorts running amuck.

Hmmm. Weird. I don't have this issue on BHW, but i just tried to verify my Twitch via Gmail and the verification email isn't getting through. This has never happened to me before, that a verification email doesn't arrive to Gmail. (I registered this Twitch account a few days ago and the welcome email arrived just fine). Probably Google didn't manage to fix everything after the outage yesterday. I know for a fact that some emails were lost while Google was down, because push notifications arrived, but the emails didn't show up. Maybe Gmail is still not 100%.

I bet the solarwind hack has something to do with this :p. Hopefully, google gets it's services in order soon.

@leechesBleechin My post from yesterday also brought a similar issue to light that I had with my own account. BHW admins are aware of problems with some members who are registered with Gmail email accounts. It all goes back to yesterday's Google's worldwide outage which is still impacting some Gmail accounts today.

TLDR: I created a new Protonmail email and I'm using that to login to BHW until this Google/Gmail situation gets sorted out.
 
Exactly I have faced the same issue yesterday, but after I create a support ticket the issue has been solved within a day.

This is a known gmail issue that just happened. Messages sent to gmail addresses during that time were basically just discarded. Google has had multiple strange outages recently. Pretty scary stuff. Youtube went down for hours maybe a week ago?
