Hello guys,
I was a bit bored and SAPE came in my mind :D
So i decided to use a competitor who sits on page 8 for 3 sape links.
I deposited 10$ and rent the links.
They all have high TF, very low OBL and good stats, check here:

actual competitor ranking:

Site is on google.de . 2 out of 3 links are already approved but i cant see the backlink , maybe it takes some time.

So do you think this links will give a boost to that competitor?

Why on earth would you want to do that to a competitor? Why not on your test site? Sorry if I'm mistaken but I'm very curious.

And yes, it should improve the rankings. I subscribed similar links on BHW earlier and they gave me some nice boost but when I realized they were SAPE, I unsubscribed (I didn't know it when I bought them).

Honestly its just for testing, i want to see how its going and if it has positive effects, then i would (maybe) use my own site.
Sape is still sape, but i think if u use it properly you are safe, this sites dont have any viagra or other shit, everything is clean.

That competitor maybe is ranking for other keywords and you'll damage their website, this seems like a bad approach. And you can't know their SEO efforts, so if you see them on first page tomorrow you won't know who made it happen.. Why not build websites for testing purpose? It will only cost $10 for the domain

Well buidling a new site will take time and the competitor is already ranking and the site is well optimized.
I will delete the links after a time so he wont worry getting penalized :D

as already mentioned, since you have no idea of what the competitor is doing, your test will not tell you much if the sape links helped or if it was something else.
total waste of time and money to be honest.

Never mind but you can build such a test site in like a hour or less. But that's your way and so, go ahead as you wish (with your spare penny perhaps) :p

This is an interesint test but I think you'd need to buy more than 3 links... 50 links maybe?
I used the same approach once when I was testing if ctr had any effect.

PS: I agree... choosing a site for a test is important... ideally it should be a site with no links.
PSS: at the same time I disagree with comments... if you choose a "dead dog" website then the test results will be interesing to see.

The variety of SEO on your competitors site may be much more than is readily available to find so your case study may be super flawed.

I'm also not going to disagree with those above who think this is really not your finest hour as to an SEO test.

Thats true. But i know the site, i already saw it months ago on page 8 or even more, i think he isnt doing much seo.

I think a parasite would be a good idea.

50 quality sape links would be a bit expensive.
i am not using crappy subdomain links, all are homepage links with low OBL and high number of RD

Since you know the site, I'm curious to see the result.
PS: I've never used sape links but... I know some websites (I mean real, big companies) who use sape and of course never get penalised.

Yup you wont get penalized, google never penalized SAPE. You COULD get penalized if there is bad link neighbourhood,
but i checked the OBL and all outgoing links with scrapebox and everything was clear.

Fun fact: I even saw a site which had a backlink to the official site of coca-cola :D

No surprise there, I know for a fact that brands in my niche buy links on a grand scale when they run their seo campaigns and what do google twats do? they penalise small guys for the very same practices on a much smaller scale.

Update

First site published finally the backlink. Still waiting for the second site.
The third site is waiting for approval, but i guess i will replace it, if its not approved within 24 hours.
Some sites dont take all sites.

Where do you guys get hold of these sape links?
From sape.ru where else ?
They got english version since some years, its very easy to deposit and play a bit round with the filters to get quality links.
There are extremely cheap links but they are the purest crap, and i guess most bhw sape sellers just use them....

Wow people still use sape huh? I had some great day’s with sape.. first big success I had was bringing sape to the English markets when only a few people knew about it.. (we absolutely smashed it for a few years on what we thought would be a short lived maybe few month ride).

People didn’t talk about it much before we introduced it here, I don’t blame them now in hindsight.. we unleaded something special no doubt wrecking many high rollers (literally a few of these back then would rank big terms), the months and years that followed were some of the best and most hectic I’ve seen in my SEO career.
