Its a huge step but if bhw has such an extensive marketplace, there should be an integrated Payment solution with escrow to reduce scams and sls and you can also take a nominal service fee like fiver.

As @BassTrackerBoats mentioned here, it is something currently being discussed/reviewed.

In the meantime, if involved in a high-value transaction, non-BHW Escrow services do exist:

• Escrow
• MagoPay
• ShieldPay
• StripeConnect
• BrainTree

Just to name a few.

As always, do as much due diligence as you can on members with whom you transact, don't want to see more situations like this one.

Idea is good, but there has to be a threshold decided so that every transaction doesn't have to go through BHW intermediary. Every transaction through BHW will increase cost overheads.

Else, best is a BHW payment processor . That will solve a lot of headaches for staff and cost overheads. Also, forum will get to keep a nice percentage on every transaction . Keep a 30 day payment release period for marketplace sellers.

it will be optional only, because it’ll increase the fees for buyer, so if it’s launched welcome people are free to use it, but if the seller trusted I would avoid those fees

That is sooooo true.... A ton of potential buyers (moi included) haven't bought products and services of BHW because there is no insurance for the delivery, or correct delivery and almost impossible to get your payments back if something went wrong.... BHW is definitely need it...

That's because there has to be a time period to raise disputes and if BHW doesn't hold the funds what's the fun in just banning the member. The same is happening now as well.

Anyhow it can be optional as well. Only issue being will the buyers from the opted out sellers get the privilege to open a shitlist ?

So if you are buying a monthly package and your money is hold for 30 days,You would work for free?
