Is Elementor Bad For SEO? | Using Page Builders For WordPress??

Why pay for 2 annual subscriptions and use 2 plugins while they can get an Oxygen Builder (that doesn't add bloat) lifetime license ?

Found it. Let's do the game. Gonna test this nice builder. as you said.

I’ve successfully ranked many sites using elementor. I don’t use it any more as I learned to code and don’t need it, but using Elementor will not negatively harm your ability to rank. Using 50 plugins and having a page load time of 10 seconds may cause issues, but not Elementor on its own.

I think this is an "it depends" scenario. Site speed is becoming more and more important to Google. If something is slowing down your website, whether it be a page builder or plugin, find a solution for it. As a coder, I'm biased against any page builder but I understand their value to a lot of people and projects. I don't like throwing the baby with the bathwater so to speak.
I've never heard of Oxygen, definitely checking it out.

elementor and other page builder plugins create a ton of shit code for include 5 words page + one small button. lol. elementor is one of them. If you didn't see part that read the thread again and also replies. For that problem I found the solution finally. that's Oxygen!!

"If something is slowing down your website, whether it be a page builder or plugin, find a solution for it." there's no sense here. I found the problem with Elementor and also finally Oxygen builder is the solution. Elementor create a ton of shit code for very small page with few lines of content.

Please watch this, and talk later. ;)

Code does not affect SEO, unless it blocks Google's spider.

The only way Elementor negatively affects SEO is if it slows down the site. But speed is not yet a ranking factor, it will be next year though.

You can have a lot of code and your site will still be fast. There are many websites using Elementor that load fast. In my experience, Elementor has negligible effect on site speed.

I use elementor for a quite big website with lots of content updated daily. I find it nice and easy to use with no negative impact on SEO. My website loads very fast. I rank and outrank my competitors with no problems.

I also use following plugins for speed and performance optimisation: WP Fastest Cache and Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster (both free). You also need to use an image compressor (especially if you have lots of larger images).

Its just all about the correct optimisation.

The biggest problem of Wordpress users is that they upload lots of plugins with lots of HTTP requests and use unoptimized oversized images.

Hope that helps.

Forgot to mention... Good hosting and a well optimized theme play a great role in website loading time as well

100% wrong.

You're using site optimization + speed optimization plugins with this. Without using those speed optimization plugins it isn't possible. So no need to talk about the speed of the website. Simply I don't like the backend of this builder generates. I explain it above replies. read all first. that.

Yeah. agreed.

I am quite sure Google ignores designer code and tags when assessing a site to rank, page speed definitely is a factor as Google thinks from the perspective of web user and not from SEO perspective. More than design Google may give weightage to useability of site navigation etc.
Yes, Google doesn't care about those as long as it doesn't affect the speed too much or user experience.

Wordpress is promoting the use of their native Gutenberg editor and adding more functionality to it frequently. I used to hear negative things about it (mostly from the time it got implemented) but recently a respected developer recommended it for actually being able to replace a classic page builder without the bloat. Also, since it's the future of Wordpress anyway and it's a whole lot of work to switch from a page builder later, I started to use it for my new sites right from the start. It's actually not so complicated, and for people like me who don't want to build their whole design from scratch, there are good templates that resemble classic page builders, e.g. Qubely (that's what I am using) or Stackable.

So for speed I see two main options: Gutenberg with add-ons or, alternatively, the very lean Oxygen builder..

If you believe a page builder will make you have a harder time ranking you're delusional, it's so minimal compared to backlinks & other stuff..

OP, stop spreading bullshit. Google doesn't care that you have bloaty unnecessary code in your markup, as long as that extra code does not affect your site/page's overall topical relevance, which is usually done by stuffing text, keywords or links in the wrong places, either unintentionally or on purpose. For the most part, Elementor doesn't do this. In some cases it's unintentional and can be fixed. Your content and external links are used to rank pages, not markup. Markup is used as raw input and useful information is extracted from it (text, links, images, videos, etc...) which is then stored in graph databases. You can stuff your markup with endless junk and still rank if your content is fine.

As for page speed, minify your code and the extra bloat code will have almost no impact on your rankings. First of all, page speed matters if your content and links are not better than your competitors. If they are, you can have a slow site and still rank. To put it in perspective, content and links together have more than 75% of the weight in the algorithm. By comparison, page speed is one of the other 100+ signals that combined together make up the rest of the weight.

So, you have 2 options:

1) Use Elementor (page builders in general) and save hours, even days worth of time and money. As a trade off, you have to check your markup if there is any unintentional text stuffed anywhere and fix it. There is software to do this. If you've been in SEO long enough, you already do it.

2) Spend 6 months to 1 year and learn how to code just so you can have that extra 1% benefit in SEO.

I just used elementor on astra pro theme and mobile score went from 98 to 75. Removed elementor and fixed the page again using Gutenberg editor and and speed went back to 98

this alone is enough for me not wanting to use elementor

I saw this about Oxygen builder in above one of comment also. Is that Oxygen builder is better than those other page builders? as you said it doesn't add bloats?
After a lot of consideration and going back and forth I´ve decided to dive myself into Oxygen. The more and more time I spend learning how to properly use it the more I realize I made the right decision.

I know it has a much steeper learning curve than any other page builder on the market but, to be honest, I think that´s a common misconception.

Oxygen it´s in a class on its own above any other page builder.

Why?

BECAUSE IS NOT A PAGE BUILDER IS A THEME BUILDER!

Once you install and activate it, you´ll notice all the themes on your WordPress installation will become inactive by default.

So, you´re pretty much building a theme from scratch.

This is the closest you´ll ever be as a non-coder or non-developer to actually build a custom theme from scratch without having to write a single piece of code.

It does, however, require some basic knowledge of CSS but, that´s something you can learn by watching a tutorial on YouTube and trust me, there are tons of great tutorials on YouTube you can watch 100% for free.

One of the many benefits of Oxygen over, not only Elementor but, to the rest of all the page builders on the market, it´s how "unbloat" it a site becomes.

This is because you´re not injecting the page builders code on top of the theme you´re trying to customize and, also, there aren´t any compatibility issues. The only code you´re injecting is the one created by Oxygen.

Also, the page only loads the code it needs.

These two reasons right here should be more than enough for anyone remotely serious about SEO and performance to drop any other page builder you might be using and immediately switch over Oxygen.

Cheers and be well!!

thanks for replying. I was going to actually ping you on this because of another thread that you had started on elementor. few questions

1. while considering oxygen, did you give wordpress own Gutenberg any consideration?

2. also, may I know what wordpress theme you are using?

3. if you change your theme, while you have leveraged oxygen, what is going to happen once you go to the new theme?

4. how was the speed metrics after using oxygen?

Or 3) use Oxygen or Gutenberg to get the ease of use of a page builder but without the bloat. I switched from Elementor Pro to Gutenberg and never looked back.

I think you're exaggerating. Yes, the page speed is part of the Technical SEO, yet, Elementor on its own will NOT pull down your whole website unless you got a shit hosting.

Idk, from my perspective, you got this wrong, or you re paid to advertise for the oxygen builder LMFAO. Thousands of freelancers don't have an issue with that, but here come you to argue with the whole population over something you're clueless about.
