Dear Blackhatworld Community,

I listed my website on flippa on 17-Nov for $ 600 as i need some urgent money for debits.
After 7 days as i didn't get any response from any buyers, so i changed the price to $ 400. Still i didn't receive any responses.

Site is 5 years old and posted 52 articles. I even got adsense approval from the same site.
Monthly earnings are 0. Since i don't have friends from IM and I thought BHW is the best place to get some suggestions, So i posted here for some help.

Someone please check my listing ( I will PM my listing link who posted comment in my thread) and advice me.

Mods: I swear i'm not trying to sell my site here.

It's hard to sell a website with 0 earnings for 400, seeing that there are a lot of website builders that sell them from under $100, sometimes way under $100... so you have to have a reason for someone to buy.. how is the backlink profile? does it have any social media accounts? All this info should go into the listing to make your website better than the zillions other sold for peanuts

I'd happily take a look if you want to PM it, but how have you determined how much it's worth?

I would never buy a site with 0 earnings - that means you are not ranking for anything. So why would I buy it?

No one is perfect in every aspect. I have an ability to build a good website but not capable to rank website.
So someone can purchase website and rank and earn.
Really i invested $ 200+ on my website so expecting $ 400.

I'm i wrong to answer like this.

I just say that I would not buy it.... and it seems I am not alone.

Flippa doesn't have that kind of buyers who would buy content based website with no monthly earning for that price.
If you lower your price around $100 to$150 it can work.
I have sold few of my websites there and it's really impossible to sell something that doesn't have any earnings.

Apart from earnings if you have minimum a decent traffic that you can show as GAnalytics you may get offers.

If that was that easy many people would be doing that. Let me tell you my case I can build content based website with hardly any expense apart from domain & hosting. If selling this kind of website was that easy I wouldn't be here .

The whole point is if you put yourself in the buyer's place think once why would you buy something that you can build yourself investing something that's way less than your asking price.

A 5 year old site must have some strong backlink profile now if you have built any backlinks. If yes, maybe you can use that as a selling point. Someone interested in your niche might take over the site and scale it, rather than starting from scratch and avoid the initial sandbox. Yet another selling point.

Do you have these mentioned in your listing?

Try fb groups, lots of people buy starter sites.

Yours is a starter site. No one will pay that amount for a site that generates 0 revenue. You might get $100 tops, that too if someone perceives your domain to be valuable.

A 5 year old domain doesn't really mean that much.
52 articles isn't a huge amount of content.

You're not native English, so if it's an English site I hope you outsourced the content.

If you have a great theme and plugins, not nulled, with some great content and the site has potential then people will buy it irrespective of actual earnings. This is why FB groups can be great.

Yes I outsourced the content. I used paid themes and plugins, not nulled. Actually i tried FB group to sell my website and FB group MOD didn't allowed me to sell.
Is there any reason?

People perceive you have been running a site for 5 years and during that time made $0 money!

It is the disadvatage of buying aged domains and then trying to flip them as a working site, when they make $0.

Nobody wants to buy a loser!

No one cares how much time or money you have invested in it. People only cares how much it earned or valued. Get that fact right.
