Progress for job site and niche site.

I'm trying to build up a new source of income.
Documenting it for later views or feedback from this community.

First is a job site for a specific niche.
- bought the domain months ago but still fits the job site theme.
- simple html website no dynamic functionality cause I don't really know how to code.
- Decided to make this as barebones because I like fast websites with minimal cruff.
- possible monetization strategy is ads or paid job posting
- possible I cold email people on linkedin to get job postings.

Second is a niche site in the photography segment.
- no progress yet
- choosing a name
- will use wordpress
- I'm not trying for info articles or listicles because writing those bores me.
- I'll write on topics I have interest in that niche.
- monetization classic web ads and product placement maybe.

Progress update #01

- decided to go back using wordpress for it, wrestling with code and manual updating is a pain.
- new design more modern. still minimal not quite the same feel as I want but will work for now since I want to focus more on the sales and marketing
- collecting ideas and postings from other jobs sites to build up the website.
- made google forms to collect subscribers list.
- setting up gumroad to accept payment.
- joining fb groups to get subcribers manually.

Second site photography niche.
- already have a name but haven't bought the domain yet.

Nice. Good luck on your journey. I really want to have a job site also. I plan to aggregate job posting from indeed to autofill my site but as from what I read they discontinue the rss feeds and the api as well. I am still looking for other ways to pre populate my site.

Progress update #02

First site job niche.
- A bit hesitant in private messaging people to sign up on the list even though this is legit job site.
- Made the form easier to fill up.

Second site photography niche.
- bought the domain name
- setup wordpress and design something simple and fast
- website will have a lot of images because of the niche.
- thinking of websites to distribute image, maybe I can get extra traffic from those like reddit and pinterest.

Honestly I'm procrastinating a lot on these websites.
But small progress is still progress.

Not sure. but from what I am building SEO traffic is not a concern.

what do u think to do as a monetization adsense or others ?

Adsense has been out of style nowadays. the pay for clicks are just too low.
I'm planning to get rentee or direct advertisers on my website when I have traffic
