Hi,

Good day!

Starting up a new website today, and the goal is to eventually get it AdSense approved within 5 months.
I know there are guidelines to follow, but, is it okay to build enough backlinks to the website and start trafficking enough before applying or start minimal, build links little by little, and then do the application?

You can immediately start building links once you have some content
Thanks! Also, does tutorials i will post on my website count as content or just the blog?

You don't need backlinks to be approved on adsense. You also don't need to wait for 5 months.

You can get approved in less than a month.

What you need is a good looking and easy to navigate website that is filled with really high quality informational articles. Publish at least 20 quality articles that answers a question or solves a problem then you apply. While waiting for them to reply, keep adding and publishing more content, maybe one daily or one in two days.

You'll get approved that way.

You neither need traffic nor backlinks to get approved on adsense.

What about the whole "wait 2 months till your site is indexed & out of the sandbox blah blah blah"?

That`s why we have an indexer. Submit your site map regularly, use other crawlers and a lot of paid sites now crawl links for you easily.

Okay. A few of the big boys in the game suggest letting the site marinate in the index juice for the better part of two months.

Obviously, no one wants to burn his potential $$$ site.

Exactly! I am a newbie on BHW, but not really a newbie in this industry. I have never given Adsense any thought till now.

Interestingly enough, I've seen Ezoic mentioned around these parts. Apparently their rates blow Adsense outta the water(!).

That's worth a google right-click, is it not?

Mine got Adsense approved in 2 months. You don't need 5 months man. Publish long-form content like 2000-3000 words articles few and some 1000 words, publish at least 2 days.

Have pages like privacy policy, toc, ..etc

Share it regularly in social medias.

I think you have the best advice here. Good luck OP.

For real? In less than a month you can get approved in Adsense for a brand new site?

Brand new site, first post 2020/11/17 at 8:08 pm just got Adsense approved this morning. And I took a week before I applied :)

But my Adsense account is old, think we applied for it back in 2003 or so.

Yes, can happen. It's happened to me severally in the past. What matters is the quality of content on your site as well as design and navigation of your site. Your site has to be easy to navigate and fully functional.
