Hi all

I am in a bit of a hurry with this and I dont know what to do.

I´m 23, with no further education and im still living at home. I got no job either right now. Im driving my mom crazy!
The thing is that I really want to take a job, signed up for a lot of substitute services, that will call you if they need someone to cover a shit!! However I have not gotten a single call yet! (1 week since I registered)

I dont know what to do...
In the past I both grew and sold instagram accounts, and that's about the only real thing I have ever done.
I would be happy with any suggestions!

Find something that your particularly good at and focus on it. Whether that be growing and selling Instagram Accounts, SEO etc.

have you considered selling your body?

jokes aside, maybe you should apply for more than just 1 job?
find any job, work at maccas whatever, as degrading as you may think it is, a job is a job, experience is experience especially when you have no experience

Well if I was a girl I would know what to do ;)

That's a tough question. If you really want a job, go to McDonald's or Burger King until you find a better one. Meanwhile, try to grow some accounts again if you're good at it and do shoutouts to have some pocket money.

Get in front of as many people and companies as possible - call companies, email companies, visit companies.

Its hard but reaching out is a big part of the process. Its not just a job you're looking for, its opportunity - you don't know who you'll end up speaking to and where that could lead.

When I first started out in my industry (IT Support) I was going into my local IT shop litteraly 2-3 times per week. I done this for months on end without any success. I think the owner was probably sick and tired of seeing me. But one day, I went in there and he was stressed out due to not being able to solve this small DNS problem with a particular client.

He didn't know it was a DNS issue at the time, but instead asked me if I knew anything about active directory. Of course I lied and said yes. Somehow managed to fix the problem and thats when i got the job.

So you really need one of those lucky breaks, but you're not going to get one unless you're putting yourself in the right place.

And yea, maybe you wanna work for yourself, earn money online etc. Which is great, but you can't beat getting a little experience in some sort of job first - and especially as that will make your parents happy

At least you can grow IG account and sold it there. I can't managed to do this to be honest.
I read here some can even managed to sell an account for 100 bucks " but i not sure backend they take how long but doubt it take long, surely using bot etc stuff to gain followers "
perhaps u too?

back to the main topic, Now due to Covi19 to be honest very hard to find a full time job , part time job " still have " surely depend that industries
the employer currently will open slot for part timer instead to save cost due to Covi19

23 years old.. time to develop your skillset bro, you can learn 15 times faster than someone in their 30's or 40's.

Just start looking into different areas like programming (web development, automation with Python, AI, algorithmic trading), content production (copywriting, editing, photoshop and illustrator, video creation), promotional stuff (ads, social media marketing, viral marketing) and all things SEO and then find something you think is interesting and (more importantly) will have the chance to make you a boatload of cash.

Then study the shit out of it, every day for weeks or months. Get free courses, youtube videos, read everything on BHW about it you can, then reach out to some members that are involved with it and have experience and ask them some specific questions about facets of it that you would like to perfect.

Once you get to a point that you know what you're doing start planning what your first project will be and get started with it, either privately or here as a journey so others can critique it and provide further support, and also so you will be able to measure your success and be accountable to yourself.

Then come back here in 12 months when you're making good money from your new found area of expertise and create an explainer on a facet of it so that other guys that are stuck like you are now will have the chance to get a leg up in life too as a result of your hard work, creativity and generosity.

And this as well. I'm not ashamed to admit that I once worked in Mcdonalds. Its good for building that mentality of getting out there and earning money for yourself whatever way you have to - good skills that can also transfer into running your own business.

That's ok, I'm round abouts that age and still living at home too but know people well into there 50s that still live with their parents. There's no shame in it tbh, it's a total bogus indication of anything worthwhile.

With the way things are going due to corona I imagine demand for such work will be through the roof right now which means less experienced applicants might get side-lined (though it's too early to say, one week is nothing).

It might be worth looking into apprenticeships too.

No one should be ashamed of working. I was just telling him that those places accept you instantly without any resume, at least in my country they do.

A close friend of mine always says: "Those who really want to make money will always find a way to make it."

Where I'm from, it's normal to get your first job at 16 (so did I back then). You're 23. Don't be lazy and don't be ashamed to get a job. If you're not bringing any money to the table every single month, you don't even have a choice, to be honest. Start a new life journey.

In USA and other countries their pay actually is better than those in Asia

Here's a great method to https://careers.mcdonalds.com/choose-location doing minimal work.

If you want to do it all yourself: Learn some real skills. For example, SEO, App Developing, etc. looks like you have plenty of time, so it shouldn't be a problem.

The problem with growing IG accounts, automation, churn and burn, spamming, etc. is it is not something you can do in the longterm. It is good for a quick buck, but not good for the longterm, because IG, FB or whoever will just update their platform or policies and eventually kill your money making strategy.

Everything else (job hunting etc.) depends on your education level, the job situation in your city/country, etc. It really just depends.

that is true due Covi19 ironic but I feel is not a long term. This neighbour of mine , always call food delivery during lock down even pre Covi19
recently I just noticed they cut down on food delivery

last time whenever I go out water my plants etc at corridor surely can see the food delivery dude knocking my neighbour door send the foods
now hardly see that. I guess he stop order , try to cook himself

is expensive in long run if you always call for food delivery.

Yes, depending on where comes from. In Germany, it is super easy to work for a food delivery service. Like basically they are accepting everyone.
