Dedicated Reddit Subforum on BHW. Please !!

Many threads are posted daily regarding Reddit and not having a Reddit subforum compels the members to post such threads in the lounge.
I guess that's not a big issue but I just wonder why such a huge platform hasn't got it's own subforum yet. I see even Weibo, TikTok & MySpace has got it's subforum but why not Reddit when we have so many threads daily regarding reddit.

Please a Reddit SubForum is so much required here.

As stated in the rules:

All new sections on BHW require at least 50 recent, engaged threads on the topic, written by 25 different users.

These must have been posted in the last 3 months and must have more than 10 reasonable responses to an opening post of more than 250 words.

If you can gather these 50+ threads together and share them with mods or admin, we can look into creating the new sub-forum and if you're interested and knowledgeable in the sector we'd open up discussions with you about moderating it.

Gather those fifty threads and reach out to a Mod or Admin - pretty straightforward process.

Well, there are 650+ threads just in the Social Media section, if you search for "reddit" in the thread title in that section.

But looking into the requirements: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-create-a-new-sub-forum.1121067/, it might be a tough one, because apparently the 50 threads criteria is regarding to the most recent 50 threads, those need to be posted within 3 months and there are other requirements too.

Yea, i noticed that too just now, probably you won't be able to find that many in that time frame. You can try nevertheless.

If you know how to use the advanced search, search for "reddit" in thread titles, set the time frame, exclude the Marketplace, the Want To Buy, the Hire a Freelancer, the Download and a bunch of other sections (because threads from those sedtions won't be moved for obvious reasons) and see if there are enough threads at all before you proceed with the next stage of criterias.

I think the main problem is it's pretty hard to game subreddit - they're more tech savvy, more critical of BS tactics and there's a propensity to not like external links from third-party sites - so most methods don't lend themself to Reddit.

A lot of the threads posted on BHW about reddit are from newbies who ask how to game it or asking for upvote exchanges, which is why it doesn't get a lot of responses.

I vote for this decision. Reddit is a huge platform and is directly related to IM. So having a subforum for Reddit will indeed be nice.

I think so too. A few relaxation should be made to create a subforum for such a huge platform.

OP you knew the rule and yet you post here that’s a violation of BHW rules, though your intentions are not bad, but you’re yet breaking the rule. I would aks mods to lock the thread for now, op reach to support and ask them can Reddit sub section be created by passing the rules.

I came to know about the rule in this thread itself, I made a post in lounge and was pointed to make a suggestions thread. However I know it is a rule violation of BHW and I've also messaged @BassTrackerBoats regarding my reddit subforum thread.
I never meant it to do by purpose.

the rules were posted in your lounge thread, rhe last time I made a similar request I wasn’t aware of it, also use the report button don’t message mods directly or use support form as the next available mod will help you out

Not trying to defend myself here but I made a suggestion thread just after reading the first reply on the lounge thread. And I'm already in terms with you that I violated the rule however it doesn't matter knowingly or unknowingly.

Also I'll keep in mind using the Support section, messaged @BassTrackerBoats cuz I personally find him very helpful(not judging other mods, it's just that I see him in a lot of posts helping as many as he possibly can) and also his status on BHW kind of intrigued me to send him a PM.

There is a total of 36+ threads created in the last 3 months, however none of them have 200+ words unless its being counted according to the number of replies.

Once November ends, the number of threads will reduce since August seemed to be the most active month. There hasn't been much activity in November unfortunately, unless you can get people to post about Reddit more in this month, December, and next January. If these three months have more activity, you could try again on Feb.

I'm too confused about the 250 words requirements and also about 10 "reasonable" responses...opened a convo with a mod regarding the same.
Also, I don't think that we can ask people to make more threads about a certain topic. That would definitely be a violation.
