critique my plan for becoming anonymous

guys dont make fun of me
people have been raided by fbi for far more innocuous activities
why risk it when you can take measures to protect yourself for less than $100?
come on, man.
You are trolling right? its not weekend yet....o_O

Why over complicate things bro.

Get a used laptop for cash.
Download tails on a usb.
Boot the laptop with usb and run your stuff on tails.
If the tor ips from tails are being blocked / captcha - then just install a VPN on tails and do your stuff.

And you are welcome :)

I like this but I am not familiar with linux, not sure if my vpn provider even has a linux app.
if I use a vpn with tails, would websites see tor ip or vpn ip?

If you install VPN on tails
Tails > Tor > VPN

So websites will see your VPN ip. If your VPN provider is a dick then they might leak your tor ip. But your real ip is safe.

you can speak for yourself when talking about what "we" do "could be considered a crime" . gaming the system is not a crime and what activities you do are of no connection to me

then you dont know anything about the law. once you start reading the definitions of some crimes, you will realize some of your activities absolutely fit the definition of a crime. go and read the legal definitions (legal definitions not definitions on google translate) of hacking, mail fraud, wire fraud. I guarantee you, you have committed all 3.

Why would you ever post this in a public forum? Do your research and keep your fingers off the keyboard... The idea about doing this in your apartment is ridiculous.

Being anonymous is good when you are against the system. You need to be 1 step ahead of them. If you hotspot your mobile to Laptop, your location, and other details will also be shared. You can just buy any laptop or try an Offshore VPS and connect it with a Good VPN. Don't VPN from your card.

is it precise? like can they pinpoint it's in my apartment and not across the street?
Cellular triangulation and GPS is within a few meters.

Your plan mentioned in the OP isn’t really necessary for SEO, but if you needed that level of anonymity for whatever reason, you’re on the right track.

Rather than tether a phone, a prepaid hotspot would work too.

most phones batteries cannot be removed so it’s possible some circuits are still active and some say device location can still be tracked even when powered off....I’m not familiar with those claims. ‍♂️

the people that I know that did basically what you’re asking about used hotspots/phones with removable battery’s...it’s been a few years.

locations where they used the equipment would vary and they had multiple sets that they would use for a short while and then discard. They were burners.

with traffic cameras, ring doorbells, and security equipment it’s hard to not be found if they look for you. Rotating equipment and location will best isolate your footsteps.

The other option is to always do the right thing, then you don't have to worry about anything

Depends what you want to do while staying anonymous...do you want to watch youtube...or you want to send codes and work on your site...the workload also matters when thinking about these things....

thanks, you are one of the few people who didn't ridicule me. one would think on a blackhat forum people would be more concerned about their privacy.
1) why not vpn from my own laptop?
2) I dont trust VPS. what if the VPS owner has employee monitoring software installed and watching everything I do?
