what does RAV stand for?

Is it the same thing as high retention views?

I see a lot of smm panels with RAV views but they say its random retention.

It is an acronym for real active views.

nope. its random retention since its real users. high retention views are possible with this if users get interested in your content and watch it for long.
you can never control the retention of real humans.
this works just like youtube ads views.

this is considered as real traffic.

remember that smm panels are public and keep selling views in mass/bulk to a lot of people, so even though the viewers are real, these users IPs sometimes get flagged by google since they watch a large number of videos or streams on youtube etc.
so due to this sometimes some views can get removed as invalid traffic.
but again this mostly does not happen especially with real human views, usually only with botted views.
mostly botted views drop, due to using outdated/detected methods of botting. etc

but do expect yt AI to make small corrections to ur final view counts on analytics.

when views come from a bot, unless the bots behaviour is advanced enough to emulate human behaviour and spoof fingerprints etc, google can easily detect these views as botted.
they detect natural behaviour patterns like account activity etc.
once google detects these views as botted, they migh inflate your view counts and mostly thats it. but u cant monetize such views.
google will either remove those views later, or leave it there as it is but u wont make any money off it.

simply getting views will not generate impressions.

it depends on 2 things.

1. ur botted views/smm views etc should be high retention firstly.
2. your content thumbnail, title and content must be decent.

the high retention fake botted views/SMM views will trick algo and generate some initial impression in small increments.

from these small initial increments, a small amount of suggested audience from youtube will arrive on your stream/video.

if the response of these suggested audience on your video is good, like if they watch with decent retention or along with things like engagements, algo will see this as a positive signal, when that happens algo will recalculate and increase the suggestion rate, then u start to get impressions in bigger increments and probs explode. thats how it works.

if this real audience who arrive in small increments from suggested traffic on youtube,does not respond well to your video, then ur video isnt interesting and will die. youtube wont suggest it more.
this is what happens in most cases. people assume their vid is interesting, but it aint, to the general audience.

so no matter what trick u use, u cant fool yt really much unless ur content is decent.

botted views,smm views,rav views or anything that counts on ur video views will always trick algo to giving some small initial impressions.
but unless ur content is good, this is useless.


again botted views can give high retention. although rav views do give views that count on analytics, im afraid they are low retention. so i dont think it will be good to generate inital impressions

I mean yea that's very true that you can't rely on SMM methods to grow a channel. At the end of the day it will require organic traffic. What I (and possibly most people) are trying to find are SMM Panels that actually promote so it gives a better chance of exposure. The problem with YT's algorithm is if your subs don't watch your vids, in the first 3 hours, it dies down regardless of whether the video is "good" or "bad". I've tried videos that took 3 mins to slap together and I got a lot of attraction while other videos that took hours to make hardly got any.

But I suppose your point is RAV views aren't gonna "boost" a video noticeable enough.

I got some views from an smm panel and later in the analytics they showed up as suggested video views.

since i see there is some misinformation here, i want to make it clear @speedyallan77 RAV (the original) are based on ADS, mostly popads, popunder, zero-click ads, left behind, domain parking and native.
that traffic has it own reputation and it NEVER DROP! (since JUNE 2019 the date of the launch of that service on BHW)

the traffic @anthony1999 is talking about may related to other methods of delivery, might be bots, or whatever @speedyallan77 mentioned, but that is not the original RAV views.

for @anthony1999 i suggest that you contact the SMM panels that send you that traffic, ask them to fix the description, if they don't then you can open a shitlist thread aginst them!

RAV views (the original! not the fakes) are simply ADS views, same views you will get if you post ads by yourself to get more traffic directly to your youtube watch-page,
as mentioned above that traffic is generated by ads that redirect the viewer to the YouTube watch-page, where video ads (if any) will be displayed and visible.
those views may generate revenue since all traffic is 100% real and users will need to interact with ads (skip, watch, click, close), but the risk is simple, YouTube monetization policies don't allow to use any 3rd party services to gain views.

anyway there are many members that checked and told that it's working for them as they don't see many invalid clicks, but if you want to be 100% safe you should disable monetization until your campaign is delivered.

so if it safe enough for direct traffic in order to generate ads revenues it will be safe to use after you accepted to the YPP, but don't ask me, ask members that used that traffic for the 4000 hours
