Suggestion: Home page with a tailored experience?

So one feature that I love on reddit or any other forum is seeing brand new posts. I understand BHW has a "What's new section" but this includes replies to posts as well, which means threads I have already read, will pop up on there? I also see a hell of a lot of posts that i'm not interested in, simply because I only take interest in specific subforums on BHW.

Would be cool if I could have a personal homepage showing only new posts from the sections of my choice. Would also stop me missing new posts I take interest in as it wouldn't be drowned by posts I don't take interest it.

Why I think this would be good for me and BHW? Well as technology develops, we are being fed more and more tailored experiences, whether that be through social media, adverts, games or shopping. Considering I spend a lot of time on BHW, I would love this to be more of a tailored experience.

If that section could include posts from users I am following, even better. It would be a great way to keep track of festinger's giveaways lol.

Thanks Damien! This is great! I don't suppose there is anyway to hide peoples replies and only see recently posted threads? I.E if I'm watching the SEO link building section, I'm just going to find replies for orders on my live feed, where as I want to see new services that are recently posted to see if there is anything new in the link building world.

It sounds like watching a specific forum - rather than a thread would give you what you want?

It sounds like watching a specific forum - rather than a thread would give you what you want?

Kind of... when watching a specific forum, the posts with the most recent replies are at the top, where as I would like most recent threads at the top, not sure if there is a setting I'm missing but I can't find how to do it for the life of me.

I may be the black sheep here, but I don't like seeing threads come up at the top that I've already read in the past. As they keep coming up at the top when someone posts a comment on it.
