Picking the RIGHT NICHE

Hello guys,

I would like to hear your insights into how to figure out which niche would be better.

I know that you have to passionate.
I know that competitiveness is a good thing.

But I believe that numbers don't lie. So, figuring out which niche is best for you is one of the most important things. You cannot go into a US medicine market with 600 euro budget.

So, what do you look at, where do you extract the data from? Let's help each other!

MY NEWBIE WAY OF DOING THIS:
I just write down all the keywords into a keyword planner, extract as many keywords as I can and then try to figure out a niche from there. Then analyze competitors on other tools based on those keywords.

You don't have to be passionate about it.

I personally find niche selection to be the greatest challenge.

One way to even get the very first idea of a niche is to simply make a list of all random niches/markets that come to mind or you read / hear.

What you can do is reverse engineer affiliate programs. They are all using tracking links and you can analyze them in tools like Ahrefs and find all people using them.

I believe that if you want to actually be successful and build something more sustainable you need to provide value. That will take time it will not be done after 1-2 days weeks or months. To keep up the project alive for several years you need passion. I believe that education is the single most important thing, and see a huge potential in online education. I really want to tackle this market, however want to figure out which niche should I go for.

Just my opinion, but It depends on the type of business. If you have to spend time creating content or finding relevant content, you better like the niche, otherwise, it will quickly become an ordeal.

You need to see how much other people are earning from the niche? If the content is regularly updated? If the niche got enough topics? Type of audience for the niche? Tons of factors plays a role.

As my budget is fairly low and I'm kind of new. Looking for a niche on a lower end of competitiveness. Always found online education a super useful thing. So, looking for a niche in that market. Probably finding out all the possible niches that might interest me would be a good start. Then move on to a competition analysis where I would find out if it is even possible with my budget. And then do another keyword research to find out what kind of content to publish.

That's just the thing.

Later on you should be outsourcing all of it anyway. Your position as a head will not allow you to do manual things like writing content.

Currently, everything I work on I'm passionate about. But it wasn't always like that and I still got results for years.

Passion is very nice to have but not mandatory.

You are right. You can always find something new. And on top of that, you can always fall in love with something that you thought you hated


As this will be my first project with SEO take on it, I'm being careful about it.
