Hi everybody!
I've been doing Clickbank affiliate marketing in the past for almost a year, where I managed to land around 5 sales with different techniques, however, it was all chaos and I ended up quitting completely because I only made around $50/month with a lot more effort, sometimes 12h/day and it was too tiring for how much I earned. Lately, I said let's give it another try and I came with a brilliant idea.
Instagram DMs
I knew about this before, and I tried it but most of the time it didn't work. After ~30 DMs, I would get action blocked for at least 3 days. I have 3 Instagram accounts, all of them are 3+ months old and I don't know if it's a bug or a new feature, but I was able to send a total of 1,000 DMs in one single day from only 2 accounts. Every time I sent a DM, I tapped the space bar so I could count easily.

I was promoting some law of attraction offer from clickbank, where they would offer a free soul reading. They have to introduce their birthday and they find out what type of soul they are - after that, they are forwarded to a more in-detail and personalised reading which costs $14. I wrote a simple message that interacted with them, but I think it looks more like a bot or spam message.
The DM looks like this:
"Hello! I've been following the law of attraction for a while now and I saw you're pretty active in this topic. Would you like a free soul reading? I'm a dream seeker soul, how about you?" <link>
This link led directly to the offer. No landing page or anything else. Personally I consider that a landing page would lower the clicks to the direct offer, because it's just too much to do for a client. I can barely get them to my LP, then I have to filter them again in order to redirect them to the product which already has a page that explains everything in-detail. I also don't need their emails. I want to make quick money even if it's little, like $200-$300/month because that is enough for now. I don't need to spend 5 years developing a website or an email campaign and then cash in the big buck after.
Now, let me tell you about the process. Sending 1,000 DMs is very tiring, both mentally and physically. Yes, physically aswell because your fingers go numb after a while. I had the message copied to clipboard and I was looking for people in the comment section of a relevant post. It took me 3 seconds per DM, after a while I would do it automatically without even thinking what I'm doing, guess I developed some muscle memory there. I was going all-in for one hour, then take a pause for another 2 and I guess it took me around 4-5 hours to do it all. However, after 600 DMs, I started to get the ''failed to send'' error and I noticed I can still send messages, but the link was the problem. I then switched accounts and finished the rest of 400 messages. Today, 24 hours later, I can still send the link from my first account, I don't know yet if I'll get limited again because today I was busy.
The audience is not that diverse. Whoever is in this niche already knows. Most of them are middle aged moms who claim to be descendants from the stars. Lots of ''mother of 2'' or ''queen of 3'' in the bio, lots of emojis and just the type of anti-vaxxer moms that you heard about. This saddens me, because they seem to dominate this niche and they are super into spirituality, astrology, horoscope and healing stones. The law of attraction is real and it works for everyone, but unfortunately it is because of these people that others don't believe in it, the Karens and they lavish lifestyles and destiny stones and whatever. Anyway, they got the money, you just need their interest. Second row of audience is occupied by indians, now those are random but I won't get into detail. 70% of accounts are private, but this doesn't matter as they will receive the message anyway.
Now, let's talk the numbers game. It is what I aimed for. I said to myself - the more the better, and if you have a large audience, there will still be someone who buys
Out of 1,000 DMs, I don't know how many of them replied. Some indians replied things like ''hello, what is your name?'' or ''hey, how are you?'' and other random things. Then, the more interested people replied on subject, where we would talk about what I got and what they got. There is also a woman who is interested and says will buy it later, but I don't trust these kind of sales to be honest.
1,000 DMs -> 87 hops -> 8.7% click rate. I don't know if this is a good or bad rate, let me know in your replies.
87 hops -> 1 sale with 9 order form impressions -> 1.20% conversion rate
So, technically this is both good and bad.
It's good because it's 1 guaranteed sale/1,000DMs (with more on the way, who knows who will open my DM 2-3 days from now).
It's bad because it's only $9.27/sale. Way too little for the effort you put in, sending 1,000 DMs everyday.
But, this meets my requirements -> $9.27/day x 28 days = $259/month.
I did this for only one day. Tommorow, I will do it again and try to do it everyday. If one of the accounts gets action blocked or suspended, I will create many others to switch to.
I would like to hear your suggestions down below. Maybe personalise the message more? Create a landing page? I just want to keep it simple. Thanks!
