The method is very old and noob friendly. I am posting now to prove that this method still works.


Let me post this method in Q&A format.

1. What is this method about?
A. Finding a POD website and upload designs on those websites. Once they make a sale... You earn a commission every sale.

2. What is the process involved uploading designs.
A. You should upload a design and select a product from list of products they can fulfill. Once the design is uploaded...They will create a mockup and list it on their website.

3. What are the best websites to start with?
A. Here are the list of websites you can upload:

4. Do I need to be a designer to make money on those websites?
A. It's like asking "Do I need to be a Model?" to make money on OnlyFans or Adult websites. If you are a designer, You can make money without incurring any expenses. Others have to hire a designer... Better to learn photoshop for making small edits on Original design.

5. Where to start?
A. Find a funny quotes, do some research on Teespring, Amazon and search youtube like this "https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+research+t-shirt+design+ideas+". Hire a designer and get your design. Start uploading and repeat.

6. How to scale this shit?
A. Let's say you are getting sales for this design: "Of course I am Awesome, I am a Teacher". Get the PSD from the designer and edit yourself to save money or ask him for a bulk price. scale it with different professions, names etc. Sky is the limit.

7. Best advice you can give us?
A. Don't really abuse the platform. Don't upload cheap quality designs. They will suspend your account and all your hard-work would go in vain.

8. How to get the traffic?
A. Frankly speaking, We have done nothing in the beginning. But we use to stuff good keywords/tags while uploading the design. Later stage, we have tried Pinterest, Wanelo to pin the URLS. That boosted our sales for sure. I am noob in SEO... Use your own SEO skills to get the traffic.

9. Do you have any proofs that method is still working?

10. Can we automate this?
A. There are tools but I never used. You can build imacros to automate uploading. But I don't suggest... Just get a VA if you are busy.

Mass upload will trigger a ban for sure. They encourage real artists.

Traffic is essential on all of those PODs if you can't trick the system you will not make cash. Plus this is not passive income, it's a job you do you will need time and money to invest at least design skills or drawing skills.

It is passive. There are few Amazon Merch accounts we haven't touched in the last one year. Still, they are making money.

Traffic is essential on all of those PODs if you can't trick the system you will not make cash.

Many people are afraid of traffic generation and they don't even start. I have already said many times... You don't need external traffic to start making money. You believe it or not... It's up to you.

Many people are afraid of traffic generation and they don't even start. I have already said many times... You don't need external traffic to start making money. You believe it or not... It's up to you.

It's a tough thread. I believe you because I've done it but when I tried explaining to people I'm making over £1000 a month doing nothing, selling stickers, they didn't believe me. I could barely believe it either. Hoping to claw myself up to that sort of number now on Merch by Amazon and Teepublic.

If I had to give anybody some tips to start it would be this;

1. Go on Redbubble
2. Search for a hobby of yours
3. Sort by 'best selling'
4. See the shite designs there that are selling well
5. Do better

If you upload 50 designs on Redbubble targetting a valid niche and don't make a sale then either with mediocore design skills then you're doing something wrong. I'm hesitant to share my main niche because I'm going to go back into it elsewhere but it's so easy to start and see yourself. I started a shop and was making £100 in my first month, 200 the next. You learn so much by just jumping in.

If this thread inspires at least one newbie who is looking for methods and takes action. I would think my time spent on this thread is well justified. I know the pain of a newbie...In 2012, I have gone from thread to thread, blog to blog, course to course to find one good method. Earning that $1 will give you a lot of confidence. The morale of the thread is... Making money is very easy if you take action. Why would I hide the traffic part if it really requires? No one is competing with me here...This is not my main income source.

I'm not saying that you can't make some income out of this but you need to sacrifice something to have a bit of cash every month. The problem is how you will scale this, what are your going to sacrifice for this, time, money, skills? Choose one.

If time you will waste hours each week to upload designs. If money, you will need to buy bulks of designs made uniquely for you. If skills you need to be at least able to handle illustrator or photoshop professionally or able to draw efficiently.

This is a job requires time and patience and skills.

ton of 'quality' designs. Check Creative Fabrica or Vexels... They sell some quality designs. Check license terms very carefully on CreativeFabrica.

Here's a screenshot I took back in early June when I still had my account:


My general figures after this were:

Redbubble Store 1: £800-1200/month - 5 Years old, 400 Designs, 7000 sales total. I wasn't making this much until recently when I started looking into how to optimise, etc.
Redbubble Store 2: £200/Month - 2 Months old, 200 designs, 200~ sales total
TeePublic Store 1: $100/month - Few months old
Teepublic Store 2: $100/Month - Few months old
Merch By Amazon: $20/Month - Few months old but I've only just started uploading

I was banned because one of my side accounts on Redbubble was banned, and when they ban one account, they ban them all that they find are linked to you. Honestly I am still not over losing that amount of money, but I'm sure I'll claw myself back up to that sort of range again soon enough.

You can buy some design bundles or editable bulk designs to begin with. You might get it for cheap.

Yeah, it's $89/month to access all of their designs.

It's a set and forget. We have in-house tools.


Trust me... You should make money with just high-quality designs. You don't need to bring traffic to those websites. You need traffic only to scale further. If you are using Amazon Merch... Amazon Ads works great.
