IQ Tests are great as they are always popular and attract a lot of attention. Unlike usual quizzes, IQ tests require time to think on each question, which makes them perfect for monetization.
The more users spend time taking the test, the longer your ads stay in the visible area. This means that there will be higher ad unit visibility, and a higher chance to get a click and/or higher CPM rates for your ads.
IQ tests consist of questions where each answer has a specific value, but there are no right or wrong questions, they all right, but have a different value that in the end will be combined as an IQ result. To create such a test we will need to use the Personality Quiz type. IQ tests have different types of questions: Analogies (mathematical/verbal), Patterns, Classification, Visual, Logical etc.
Before you set up a quiz, define how specific you want it to be. It can be very specific (IQ results from 1 to 160) or it could be less specific (70-90-100-120-160). If you are looking to have a very result-specific quiz then you looking at a lot of questions and variants for them, however, it could 5-6 variants (outcomes) in total. (Note: it is better to make results without round numbers, use 122, etc.)
Most IQ Tests have 20 - 30 questions, which means you will be able to generate 30+ pages per single visitor and 90+ ad impressions if you have 3 ad units on the page (150+ if you have 5).
Considering the US army requires a minimum IQ of 85-92 to join, I picked 70 as the lowest point and 160 is the highest. This would mean that just 5 variants would be enough and it would be relatively easy and fast to create.

You can read a book (or a dozen) on how to properly create an IQ test, you can copy the quiz from an already well-known site, or you can create a quiz with similar, but different questions to something that is already there. In my case, I am looking to create a quiz relatively quickly but not affect the quality, so I am going to create it based on something that is already there.
How accurate the test will be is depends on how well you educated on the topic, but realistically, most users won’t care if the test is real or not, it is still fun and different from the other quizzes. Most importantly, something that users will want to share. This is exactly what we need - playing users = ad revenue. If you look for the perfect IQ test, you can hire a professional quiz/test creator to make it for you, this investment is not necessary, but a single quiz can last over 5 years and bring revenue each day, it will pay you back.
I am going to create a pattern of questions that are similar in the task, but different in the result, for example:
E.g. What number comes next 3,6,12,24?
Images are pretty easy, you can do them with Photoshop, Photopea if you don’t have PS skills, or you can find a ready-made images in search.
Ranking answers
This might look like the hardest part, but it’s not. Depending on the quiz plugin you work with there could be different ways to set it up, with Quize plugin you simply provide possible outcomes of the quiz first and then connect each question/answer to the specific outcome. For example, if the user provides vague answers it could lead to the minimum IQ, the more specific answers to the highest IQ, but considering in most cases there will be mix of answers, most users will fall somewhere in between.
