Ban covid19 threads?

I think covid19 threads should be banned same as politics/religion discussions, every time a thread pops up it usually becomes a shit show between people saying it's dangerous and people claiming otherwise.

Making money threads related to covid19/pandemic - okay.
Discussions whether virus is real/fake/etc. - not okay.

Those threads are typically not political nor religious though and it is a worldwide issue.

In addition to that they are lounge threads from the ones I have seen so there is a little latitude given there as long as they do not violate the ToS.

If people don't like COVID topics, don't click on them and get on with your day.. what's the problem? Even if one becomes a shitshow, other COVID threads won't and will provide people with the opportunity to share info and discuss the most pressing topic of any of our lifetimes.
