[Suggestion] Hide About Section From...

I've only decided to make this suggestion due to few peeps that add my Skype in order to sell something. When I ask them their BHW username, they just don't respond.

Our about section can contain contact details like Skype, email, and any other means of communication. My suggestion is to hide about section from guest users and extremely newbie users who need to be at-least 10+ days old in order to view the about section / contact. I know dealing outside BHW isn't a cause for concern as you are not doing it inside the forum, but this may ensure safety.

I honestly think guest users shouldn't be allowed to see the about section OR at-least hide the contact details (if the user has any) and let them see the about section.

Hide your profile or don't publicly display your Skype.

In your "About Me" section you can tell people to PM you for your Skype; problem solved.

I think the easiest way is to hide your info, just tell when needed

If you go to your privacy settings, you can set it so that only members can view the details on your profile page. That'll keep guests and scrapers away.

Aside from that, @ContentExpert offered up a decent alternative, quoted below.
