This is why you don't buy a macbook

Mac look nice but so does alian laptops
You mean alienware laptops? Yupp they look cool for sure. They are "Cooler" than macbooks actually (pun intended, or is it?).. :D

talking about laptops...

arm 64-bit linux laptop for $200:
Code:

.. got myself one to test it... really curious about these arm processors - though all my friends claim that this laptop will be even worse than used chromebook :D :D

Jokes apart, here's my current working PC (it also has win 10, but I prefer the ubuntu unless I really need to)..

Yeah, it is nowhere near being a "super config" machine, but it gets the work done pretty well. The good part is that the whole setup probably costed me less than $1000 when I bought it a couple of years back. It still runs very smoothly.

The first time I see that they do not like the Apple technique so much. Their MacBooks are very comfortable, I bought myself too, very satisfied. It's fast and easy to use. the scissors keyboard is just perfect.

The strange thing is that most people, who makes their money directly or indirectly from video production or other creative jobs, they mostly use Apple products. That many people can't be wrong choosing Mac over PC imho, those must fit their purposes better and it needs to be more to it than just the logo. If you're just an average user, PC is probably better.

These days Macbooks and not just Macbooks, but notebooks as a segment slowly but surely is getting obsolete with devices like the iPad Pro in existence or the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. They managed to get to the level, where they can fully substitute a notebook.

I wouldn't buy a Macbook, not because some Windows notebooks could be a better, wiser or cheaper choice or not even because it's cool to hate Apple, i wouldn't buy a Macbook, because there's a superior product called iPad Pro.

Apple would be nice if they weren't super obsessed with weight and thickness, and bs people into believing that less ports is better.

Can feel your pain. The thickness has always been my primary complaint. Yes it looks cool, but at what cost? Is thinkness more important, or is heat dissipation more important? I bet you will get different answers if you ask different people. That's the problem with mac fanboys. :p

Agree but when it comes to security mac is better.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

How is Linux not better in terms of security? :p
Win 10 is fairly secure as well. Just the fact that it is so much popular that hackers target it much more. Same as Wordpress in web world.

Man .. I have no idea. :D I guess , as you said maybe because windows is popular and targeted by viruses.

Those kinds of threads again , everyone has its own taste , some like PC some like Mac , i used Windows from Win98 and when i wanted to try Apple laptops i liked them .

Actually Mac and Linux are very similar in terms of file system, permissions and commands. Mac is based on BSD, which is pretty similar to Linux. Good part is that Linux is open source, so you can see the underlying code if you want to. Best of luck trying to do that with a mac or windows lol. That being said, Apple (afaik) is a pro security company. So, I believe their products are very secure as well.

Speaking about the OS, not that Windows is better than MacOS, it slows down the PC and has many useless shit. If you work, for example, in the programming / developing field, ubuntu all the way (or even for casual web browsing, note taking and basic tasks). Otherwise if you play pc games and you need windows-specific software, just use that buggy SO

On the contrary though, AMD Ryzen + Geforce GPU aren't quite the best with Ubuntu. I am typing from one right now, and I do get occasional lag if I try to do some processor intensive task. On Win 10, it's smooth as butter. :p

Good information. However, if you want to build a website go with wix.com!

Well, the point I was trying to make; is the fact that you never know what comes with Mac (or Windows for that matter). You think it's secure, but it might not actually be secure. ;)

I don't know, it may be a processor architectural thing that doesn't work well on it; I'm using i9900K on ubuntu and it goes smoothly (just as the same i9900K and the 2070 super on my windows machine). I've never enjoyed AMD, also because I use to render on Vray (+ 3ds max) and Intel processors are optimized for it

They used to be better when you had the G3/4/5s or the PowerPC days etc as nothing else would run on the binary system it had to be built for the Mac or that was it, so you hardly saw "viruses" although they where around it was nothing compared to the old window days.

However as soon as they moved over to the intel chipset you saw a rise in window ports, anti virus software etc as well as "malware" scanners I don't think they where ever as secure as they where before they had their own chipset.

In my case it probably has to do with the poorly written driver for geforce plus the amd architecture. Agreed that intel processors work better in general (no matter if it's windows, mac or ubuntu.., not sure if apple evenn uses amd).
