I did this and I thought it was impressive, but I realized I didn't have anything else to compare it to.

What's the fastest you were able to get in the top 5 of big "g"?

I did it using wpmu backlinks.

Doesn't really make sense to talk about ranks without also talking about the direct competition for the chosen keyphrase.

The fastest I've noticed a new page get indexed and showing up in G was 17 minutes. And I bet it ranked #5 for some combination of keywords at the time.

"I love blackhatworldsomuch blablabla i love money and bhw"

to top1 in half day. Check in a few hours its on place 1 for this key

The point that he is trying to show you the number of the exact/broad search for the keyword 7,86000 which is difficult to be in the top five sites in google for this keyword but actually not always.

My assumption was if google returns that many pages it would be harder to rank in the top 5.

Sure, lets say we have a fictional term "i love bhw" which returns 55.000.000 results. You say wow very competive and hard to rank 1. But it isnt. The only thing that matters is the first 10 results and if you can outrank them. 55.000.000 doesnt mean anything.

ok i take the time for an reallive example:

Term: "i hate bush so much"

Results 1 - 10 of about 22,400,000 for i hate bush so much. (0.07 seconds)

look at the results....you prob. get in there with a keyword domain and 5 social bookmarks


or better:
internet marketing downloads

an example of on of my pages: Results 1 - 10 of about 52,200,000 for internet marketing downloads

My Website is first page. Only thing i did was some rss submits, social bookmarks and buy 1 permanent link for 10$ (its the keyword domain )

Is this Key hard? no its so easy but has 52.000.000 results
